Pizza was undercooked, soft. Not much sauce. Kids cooking the pizza. It's not NY style. Not sure why such great reviews
Great Italian take-out!!!
After living in NYC for ten years, chicken parm sandwiches are one of my favorites. Having had Piccini's pizza I decided it's time for sub. Two things that makes for a killer chicken parm sandwhich. Marinara and a slightly crisp, buttery Italian bread. You see, the two compliment eachother. The crispiness of the bread holds up from the marinara and the marinara helps soften the bread but it's the two that create a great texture and flavor. Combine that with a nice breaded chicken breast and cheese, melted open face in the pizza oven before serving... you have a wonderful sub. When I took my sandwich out of the bag, wrapped in it's nice papper, I could tell the bread was going to really soft but when I unwrapped it and opened up the bread, I was crushed to see no marinara sauce. There was some cheese, chicken tenders brushed with sauce and some basil. I knew then this was going to require a large drink to wash it down or I'd choke trying. Come on folks, it's not a chicken parm without sauce. It's a hazard without sauce! One can have soft chew bread, but no sauce? Now I could have given this no stars but truth is, it was well seasoned and a very good size for the price. The chicken tenders might scare you off but it was flavorful and a nice consistency for a sandwich. Yes it was dry and chewy but it has potential. If you would say least put sauce on it, this 2 start goes up to 3. Open face broil that baby so the cheese, sauce and chicken become one and and the bread is hot and you have 4, Change the bread and it's a 5 star sub. At least add sauce, please!
Did takeout. Food ready in 15 minutes. Sausage and peppers was delicious, my favorite dish. My wife loves their sandwiches: meatball or chicken pesto both great. The ciabatta is excellent.
Just ordered take out from here. It was bomb. Fried artichokes with ranch can't be beat. Also tried meatball sandwich, orzo pasta salad and some zucchini pasta dish. Everything was a delight! Prompt and just as advertised. We will order here again for sure.
We ordered delivery from here last week. We had the anza meatball pizza and the pear and pecan salad. The salad was fantastic. We both loved it and look forward to ordering it again. The pizza was also great. Wife and I agreed, they have the best crust of any pizza place we've tried in this area. Meatballs were great. Ricotta tasted fresh and wasn't overpowering the other ingredients. All around, all the ingredients were good quality. My only small issue was the amount of sauce on the pizza. Maybe it's a personal preference, but we prefer a bit more sauce. Next time I order, I'll ask for a bit more, or for some extra on the side. The packaging was well done. You can tell the owners want to make a good impression. They included a coupon for our next order which we look forward to making soon.
Fantastic fast quality Italian food to take home! I wish they had a bit more of pasta options or perhaps a custom pizza ? But overall, it’s a great place for takeout. Give them a try! 10/10 A+
We tried Piccini’s last night and loved the margarita pizza. We’ve ordered pizza’s from Scardinos for the last 20 years BUT the last two times it was horrible. I called to talked to the manager but he never called me back. So we now have a new pizza place and will try other items on their menu. Congratulations on your new business and wish you much success.
Fabulous meatball n pepperoni pizza!!So glad they came into our neighborhood!!Will be our regular place now. Can’t wait to try more
Easily the best pizza in the South Bay. Their pasta, salads, and apps are really good too. Big fan of the fried artichoke hearts. On top of the food quality, everything is prepared/packed extremely well which makes Piccini arguably one of the best spots in LA for takeout/delivery. Highly recommend this place for your lunch and/or dinner rotation.
