Went to the store to purchase fresh coffee beans. Most of the stock was from two or three weeks ago. They do get a fresh shipment every Wednesday, but the barista would not make the effort to locate the new produce. They preferred to refund me my money instead of opening up a fresh bag since it would ruin the experience for other customers. Said I should coordinate with the manager so I can get fresh coffee. Alfred Peet's would be very disappointed with this response, the refund and a customer having to leave without the fresh coffee they are suppose to be selling. Barista needs to be trained to help customers find the freshes coffee and have the best experience. Manager needs to learn how to order and reduce the coffee stock. The over ordering has coffee that is three weeks old on the floor.
I was craving a nice hot coffee before I went in for my hair appointment. I first went to Starbucks, but they were closed. Luckily, Peet’s was close by! I made it in a few minutes before closing!! Whoo-hoo! I was going to get a hot vanilla latte but decided to be adventurous and try out one of their new featured drinks, which was a hot churro latte. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not, so I ordered a small. After taking my first sip, I regret not getting a medium. It was sooooooo freaking delicious! I haven’t felt that much satisfaction from coffee in a while. This gave me exactly what I needed, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Thank you, Peet’s!
Got two hot chocolates and a couple of pastries. Everything tasted great, and was out fairly quickly, despite them being short handed. It was also pretty clean; but they did have the bathroom closed off, resulting us having to go into Whole Foods to relieve ourselves. But still, it was a good visit.
I hate to write a bad review but this issue continues to happen often. I've continued to order the same drink here and yet the staff continues to make the drink however they like. This unacceptable, when I pay extra to customized my drink, yet they continue to make it how they want. It's very understanding if the store was busy, but that's not the case here. A particular male who often works continues to be careless and doesn't bother to read the mobile order correctly. I switched from Starbucks to Peets and absolutely Love the quality of the Coffee, but I don't want to continue to spend my money here if the staff can't follow written directions on a cup. Thank you!

Just to be clear, that while it's not always perfect, they are great most of the time; they were even open to allow me to talk to them about any issues I had with them, and that they were ready and willing to improve; I've seen this for myself; the last time out, my latte was perfect! :)
