Beers were tasty and abundant, a lot of variety on tap but they were out of some canned items when we visited. Decent prices for meals and beers. The burnt ends chili was so good! Best item to get if you're there on the weekend.
If your looking for brews and bbq then definitely check out this gem in Torrance! They have plenty of local brews and southern style food that stands out against the LA scene. Plenty of free parking too!Sunday's special is the Burnt Ends Chili, which is full of brisket bits and flavor with a corn bread on the side. Highly recommend! We also got the Catfish Poboy with slaw. It was pretty good too and tasty. The beer here is really good too. You can get a flight or a regular pint. They also have beers to go so that you can bring some home!
I ordered something that was a little “off”. I can’t really explain it. When the waitress asked me how it was, I gave a “it’s fine”, but she could read right through me. She insisted I get something else so I ordered the burger which was outstanding. The manager then came by to ensure everything was ok. This service is so rare and appreciated. The server could have easily taken my answer and moved on, but she took that extra moment to make it right. Wonderful experience.
SERVICE DOG DENIED ENTRY - Yes, my girlfriend and i were kicked out of the restaurant after I inform that my dog was a service animal. The manager informed that due to the collar being retractable, this was not characterized as service dog.My dog was not tagged and he was not using his vest. But i told that it would be not be a problem to me go back home and grab the letter and his vest. She responded that they could not risk taking a lawsuit. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness. You are not under obligation by federal or California law to exhibit identification or service dog registration.Businesses can only ask the following two questions and none of those were asked:Is this dog required because of a disability? What task or work has the dog trained to do?I submitted a report to United States Department of Justice.
I was really craving a burger so that's what I ordered. Unfortunately the meat was so charred that it was all I could taste.... It overpowered what a burger is suppose to taste like. And I did not enjoy the shared table either. Hard to have a conversation when you have people at the same table.
Service was great, food was a little too charred for my taste it over took the flavor of the food we had burger & the pork belly sandwich...on the upside the Cole slaw was the best i ever tasted....asking about the chatted food we were told that's how it's cooked.....hard to believe they burn the food & to them it's ok...idk
I was turned away because my service dog was attempting to alert my husband of my condition. I am a type 1 Diabetic and have a service dog who is trained to retrieve/alert my husband of a low sugar episode when I am at a certain blood glucose level. As we pulled up to the restaurant I was unaware that my blood glucose was dropping. As this was happening my husband went to speak with a worker to see if we could eat at an outside table. As he was speaking to this woman my pup kept attempting to leave my side to retrieve my husband (by making a noise to get his attention/attempting to get him) as he is trained to do when my blood glucose reaches a certain level since I can be unaware of my blood sugar levels at times and am prone to seizures.Instead of this woman asking what he was trained to do and inquiring about whether or not his behavior was related to him being a service dog she said we could not eat here because of he was "jumpy."She then went out of her way to bring up his breed and then explained that a person had been bitten at her restaurant in the past so she wasn't going to risk it.Safe to say, I was heavily disappointed. You cannot turn away a service dog because of something that did not involve them. You cannot turn away a service dog because of their breed. Most importantly you cannot turn them away for acting as they were trained. It's honestly disgusting
Torrance is known for its breweries. There's at least 7 well known breweries in a 3-4 mile area..Hop Saint is our go to. The beers are great, well balanced and flavourful. My wife doesn't drink beer, so she loves the ciders(when on draft) or the canned seltzer. But the food is what makes this place amazing..everything on the menu is great. From their backyard smoked BBQ, to the pulled pork and berry drizzle flat bread. Their food is awsome. Always find out what the specials are, the Cubano and pastrami can't be beat. This place has great drink, great food and great service..its a must try.
I've ordered food to go from here 2 times. The 1st time the food was so so and service the same. I thought cause it was a busy night. So I was craving a burger so I ordered a hamburger tonight. The burger was $16! The burger came recommended by the staff. I was told that it came with white cheddar cheese on it. When I got the Burger I was looking for the cheese and even asked about it. The cheese was so miniscule that it looked like sauce of some kind. When I asked the staff they said " well you only get 1 slice!" Ok then Where is it?Plus, I had to ask where my side was. I asked for medium rare it was almost well done. . Anyways, when I pay $16 dollars for a burger and tip the staff on a togo ordrer not only to I expect to see a slice of cheese not something that appears to be sause sprinkled on it but something that tastes like its $16 let alone cooked to they way I ordered it. I.e. medium rare not well done! e. Lol disappointed
Great service one of our favorite places to go have brunch on Sundays
