We have always passed by here but never got a chance to visit. It is kind of hidden behind Wendy’s so it’s hard to miss.The fancy looking logo had us thought that this was a corporate chain. BUT IT IS NOT!!! Calf & Chick is a fancier version of Mediterranean + Deli restaurant. Their food items are very clean and refreshing to your tastebuds. I highly recommend their Fresh Chicken Garlic because it is light but filling! Their sauces are on point!And big plus point for me was how clean their bathrooms were! In a busy restaurant like this, it’s hard to expect any clean bathroom.Make sure to check it out!!!
Tried the Grilled Beef, and Grilled chicken sandwiches and they were great!Service was also excellent!Fries were great! And best of all, all the meat is Halal <3Thanks so much!Thoroughly recommendWill certainly be back for breakfast :)
I have eaten from this establishment several times. Food is good, never had a complaint until now. I usually order online for curbside pick up through Chow Now. Only once have a had to go in to get my curbside order. Today was the 2nd time. Once I got to the counter, I stated that I was picking up online order (placed 15 minutes before I came to pick it up). They had not even looked at the online orders. It took them an additional 20 minutes for them to make my food. 35 minute wait in total. The manager wasn't even helping move the orders along. She was just standing there looking a receipts even after she said she would make my food. She never once went into the kitchen.The poor lady at register just kept saying "we're swamped today". If they can't handle the lunch orders they need to close earlier or adjust the menu. One guy had been waiting since I got there and had to tell them he only had 30 minutes for lunch. The manager was not apologetic. She actually looked bothered. I hate to say, but I won't be returning.

First impressions: Clean, very open, spacious, modern and friendly staff who greet you upon entry. I ordered the Garlic chicken sandwich that was very good. Not too strong in garlic, just the right amount of flavor. I highly recommend you give this small eatery a try.
I love their avocado toast here. Add on egg whites and bacon and it's a full breakfast meal. Service is pretty quick. They have some sandwiches and also have pastries. Come early if you want those, when I've come later in the morning a lot of them are gone.
I love this location. The staff here are so nice and helpful. The food was DELICIOUS! I got the omelet and avocado toast. Also, a latte. Yummy. I had a small bite of the banana bread and it was good too!

I wrote this review because the pancakes…the pancakes are delicious at (falsetto singing voice) Caaaaaalf and Chiiiick! How many stars? Listen up here: I’m giving it 100,000 stars out of 100,000 stars. And another thing, by the way. I liked the high chairs. They aren’t like baby high chairs. But high tables and high chairs. This recently opened establishment has to be one of the best kept secrets in Torrance. Had their turkey bacon, 3 egg and cheddar breakfast sandwich. It was huge and the bread was fresh and grilled like a panini. While I waited, I tried a free sample of their cheese cake which I can honestly say is the best I’ve ever tasted. I also tried a pastry sample of their chocolate Soblé. I never heard of Soblé before, but if you’re a chocolate lover, you will absolutely love it. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu in the upcoming weeks. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is spotless and my food came out right away. My only wish is that they were open longer than 7am to 3pm daily. Pleasantly surprised and continued $UCCE$$ to Calf & Chick Bakery Café.
