Ended up going to O-R Authentic Thai Cuisine last night due to its good reviews and promise of Thai orange chicken, pineapple shrimp fried rice, and crab wontons with real crab.Needless to say my family and I were surprised to see some of the exact same decor and recipes from the “White Elephant” restaurant that closed in the The Whole Foods parking lot a few years back. But the chefs are back and dare I say better than ever! The orange chicken is new, but a nice take and some of the crispiest chicken I’ve had in awhile, although, I think it might have benefited from the traditional Sichuan peppers found in most lesser orange chicken for that kick. The crab wonton was the best we have ever had. Figures since using real crab elevates everything, but I digress. At $12 a spurge but worth every penny. Going to have to try the Pad Thai and more authentic dishes next time, but sure they are great and don’t let the $20 per entree fool you these are dishes meant to be shared and split.End of the day glad you all are back, cheers!
I really like this place because, as a Thai food connoisseur, it’s legit and everything is authentic and tasty. But if you’re at the mall and you want something that’s a notch above the food court, then this is a good option. Now that Covid restrictions are lessened, it’s nice to sit down and get a nice meal, inside, outside, or wherever and you can people watch as you eat. They even have a few noodle dishes I haven’t seen often before and the service is nice. Only negatives would be that I didn’t see any lunch specials and it’s more on the pricey side, but the quality makes it worthwhile nonetheless. Pic is if the Tofu Teo Kua noodle dish.
Very good food. Good service. Make sure to ask for the chili and sauces. Meals can sometimes be just a tad underseasoned.
Was pretty excited considering the rating but this place was very mediocre. Got green curry and Panang curry. Both of these were just okay, too much coconut and too sweet. The shrimp in green curry was over cooked. The ambiance is the mall. And the servers pretty much disappeared after serving food. Definitely not going back or recommending anyone.
I just found this wonderful restaurant and I was blown away by the taste of the food, soooo good and authentic, and the staff, like a family! And they treated me like family, I mentioned it was my first time there and they gave me a free dessert and that was so good too! ? 4 stars here!!! Cheers!
We enjoyed our dishes, flavorful and fresh. A decent number of popular choices. Located at a quieter part of the mall, and no disruption to conversations.Service was a bit tardy. Once the order was taken, it did not take long for all the food to be on the table.
We try every Thai restaurant we come across and this one delivered. Red curry Salmon, crab fried rice and Pad Woon Sen were all as good as it gets.
Great food. Great service. Food is yummy but my girlfriend is scared of this place because the food gives me severe gas.
The food was good, but the service is slow and left out the carrots in the dish I ordered which is why I ordered it. So, so.
When they say authentic they mean it. The Thai tea, papaya salad and Tom Kha Gai was delicious on a cloudy day. I particularly enjoyed the hint of lime with the papaya and the spice of the Kha Gai.
