This place is amazing. It was our first time there and I can't wait to go back. Our server's name was Laura, and she was phenomenal. When we didn't like a drink we'd never tried before, she was quick with a solution and was prepared to replace the drink if we still didn't like it. The food was amazing, and the ravioli was the best we ever had. Very pricey but well worth it. We had a different server at the end of the meal, but he was just as considerate and treated us like he'd served us the whole night.

We went as a family expecting great food because of the reviews. Started great - the calamari was crisp and fried in light fresh oil; the empanadas were ok - nothing to write home about. My moqueca which was supposed to have Chilean bass was missing the bass (perhaps they dissolved?) and had 6 meager pieces of shrimp; my son's steak was as hard as the sole of my tennis shoes and tasteless (my husband and I shared a sliver of his steak - I didn't think beef that cost as much as they charge can be as bad as this!); My husband had some sort beef dish from the pasta section - he didn't care for it and had a stomach ache that night. I called the servers twice to complain about my son's beef (at $50 for that dish - yes, I will let them know.) My son was too nice and didn't want any conflict - he sat there and tried eating 1/8 of his steak and nothing else. Glad we ordered their fried plantains -the saving grace of the evening. I'm handicapped using a cane to walk, and was asked several times if I can move my chair closer, ad again closer, to our table instead of asking the people in the bar with the high chairs. I'm not being mean - but we will not be coming back. If you want to try this - I'd recommend the calamari and the plantains.

As perfect a meal as I have had recently. The fish stew (moqueca) is from the coastal region of Brazil north of Rio. It was so unusual and spectacular that I went back two nights later with my sister. Empanada and beef skewer appetizer were amazing. The rub on the skewers comes from the yucca plant. Can't wait to go back.

It is definitely a place I would highly recommend. Usually I would not prefer fish over meat, but Mocqueca a is an exception. Food is so unique and tasteful that you keep smiling while your brain is busy processing all the flavors.Great food, great service.

Delicious seafood. Great location. Service was good. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful place. Wife and enjoyed the great food and pleasant staff. Helpful and friendly. Looking forward to going again and trying everything there.

Absolutely phenomenal! I truly cannot believe how much I adored this place. One of the best meals of my life! The moquecas with sea bass and calamari, the steak skewer appetizer, the flan…oh, my goodness gracious gosh! Everything on the menu looked delicious. The nicest people. Totally worth the drive from Los Angeles or Santa Barbara.

The traditional fish stew is excellent. The starters are delicious. They also make a great Mojito. It's family run and the care and friendliness show.

Good tasty and spicy food, excellent customer service.
