Have been to this restaurant numerous times and usually it is very good, but last night fell short. My combination fried rice literally had only two shrimp in it and hardly any chicken or beef. It was also pretty bland, so much so that I had to add salt to it. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great like it usually is. One of my fellow diners also said his food was very bland and he gets the same meal every time and it is supposed to have a little spice in it. He actually sent it back and requested they redo it with some kind of flavor and spice but even when they brought it back the second time it was still pretty bland. It almost seemed like there was a different chef than there was in the past. I honestly probably won't go back again after last night's meal. There are just too many good Thai restaurants around to bother taking another chance on this one.

Just now ordered meekrob crispy noodles and they are not edible. Called the restaurant and they were no help. Soggy, crushed and broken noodles. Will never order again.Do not waste your money. Better to go to Bangkok Avenue. Excellent food and service every time.

food is amazing! recommend steamed dumpling and rice! much nom very yom much enjoy good nutrients good good busting

For whatever reason, the yellow curry has ZERO flavor. I’ve ordered it twice, 3-4 weeks apart and it has no taste other than spicy water. The first time it happened, it had the consistency of literal water with a THICK layer of oil floating on top. When I reheated that order the next day, the oil had congealed and it was really gross, especially since it should not be served with a full layer of oil on top. This is all really strange because the other location in Newbury Park KILLS it every single time and actually puts salt in their curry. I don’t know what it is about this location but it is definitely a huge waste of money to order a saltless, flavorless yellow curry. There isn’t even a curry flavor! So weird… and not good.

I remember coming here for with my buddy for a Door Dash delivery order and the lady in the restaurant (presume it was the owner) rudely told us it would take 5-10 minutes for the food to be finished. She was sitting down on her iPad counting money whilst we waited for the food. After 20 minutes we asked her where the food was and she kept telling us to just wait. Finally after an entire 35 minutes we cancelled the Dash delivery and left. What a disrespectful owner she was.

First time here and I'm truly impressed! Great lunch special for 12 dollars. Had a appetizer along with a soup we all shared. Excellent meal can't wait to come back.

This restaurant is a great place to eat Thai food. I had the roasted duck curry, and it was very delicious. There was some variation to the curry since I had last eaten here, so don't be surprised if some ingredients are added or removed from dishes. Beware that "medium" spicy curry may actually still be quite spicy, so go for mild if you are not prepared for super spiciness. I'm no stranger to spicy food, but even I had struggled to maintain my composure at times. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my visit. I'll be coming again soon.

After coming here regularly for many years, it occurred to me that I hadn't yet written a review. Everything has been consistently excellent. We occasionally try other Thai restaurants in the area but haven't yet found anything that is quite as good as Exotic Thai.

Rude service ALWAYS gets bad reviews. I know we all have bad days but, if you want people to come back-- be NICE!

Not as good as I thought it was going to be. $28 for two bad Thai's.
