Wow. I see a lot of high scores for D'Amore's. Actually, the strong reviews partially influenced my decision to order from D’Amore’s. The low score is not for quality of pizza. Pretty good. The low score is for D’Amore’s because it shouldn’t take an hour to make the pizza. Moreover, the employee at counter constantly addressing me with the term 'boss'. "Just 10 more minutes boss, we’re backed up" just wore on my review-nerve. Management needs to tune things up.
I love D’Amore’s Pizza! I’ve met the owner several times and he’s a great guy that loves taking pride in making sure he uses only the best ingredients. And he has a beautiful daughter who is an amazing DJ, and she makes the sauce! What more can you ask for, a true American family owned company! Good job guys, my family and I will always go to D’Amore’s Pizza!
Fantastic pizza. Not the cheapest in the area, but the quality of the ingredients more than justifies the price. The dough has just the right texture: not too heavy or bready, but not too wimpy too stand up to the toppings either. Great ratio of sauce to cheese (a lot of places seem to skimp on the sauce for some reason). And the sauce itself has a nice balance between sweetness and acidity, a great counterpoint to the savory toppings.
What would life be without small-town pizza places? Thousand Oaks is over-run with chains (as are most cities this size), so let's support our locally-owned small businesses! And when the food is this delicious, it's easy to do. The care they put into this pizza is incredible. Something about making dough only with water imported from Italy or something, I'm not sure, but it's above and beyond. And the Ziti is spectacular. We don't need anymore Domino's or Pizza Huts in TO. Support D'Amore's!
D’Amore’s pizza is honestly the BEST!! They are VERY well known amongst the Hollywood and movie set crowd, having served their mouth-watering slices to some of the BIGGEST names out there (I saw a picture of Kylie and Kendall Jenner eating their pizza, along with Momager Kris); not only are their ingredients top-notch, they also manage to make their pizzas less calories per slice, when compared to the likes of Domino’s or Pizza Hut! Every time I’m in the area, I always make it a point to stop in and grab a pizza; I like a lot of different toppings typically, but I only order pepperoni with them— because when you perfected pizza the way they have, there is no need to go fancy— simply EXCELLENT!!
D’Amore’s is one of the best pizza places in the area, no other pizza place has the style that they have. They use the best ingredients and all the recipes are from their grandmother. You will not be disappointed. If you like New York pizza this is the place for you.
I can’t tell you how much I love D’Amore’s food and the family that makes it! We have been dining (and take out, and catering) at D’Amore’s in Thousand Oaks for almost 20 years. We love Lea’s Salad, the antipasto, and of course their wonderful pizzas! Treat yourself to some of the most delicious Italian food you will ever have. ❤️

Dinner from D’Amore’s is a weekly ritual for our family. It’s our go to for great Italian food - not just the great pizza. The pastas and salads are great too. And the staff is very nice remembering me each time I come in.
