Excellent pizza! I fed my family of five (3 of which are teenagers) with one large pizza and a salad for two. So good!
I will be on a temporary assignment in LA for a few months and live nearby. This place is small and gets very crowded on weekends. If you live in the area, I recommend coming on weekdays. However, I really enjoyed the pizza. I get custom made and it's great. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the location is central. I hang out at the bar and it's a great vibe.
Pizza done well here - different than from most places where we get pizza. We were having wine at the wine place just a couple of doors down from Barone's. We stopped at Barone's to order a veggie pizza to accompany our wine. The folks there were kind enough to walk it over when ready.

I am from Studio City. I grew up eating this pizza. There is a reason why it has been around for so long. This is the best pizza in Southern California. Hands-down. Otherwise you have to go to New York. It doesn’t get better than this. The salads are also amazing, if you love Italian dressing, this will be your favorite. I always buy extra. I am so glad they came to this area. I just wish they would have meatballs to buy on the side. Even better, offer their spaghetti and meatballs. But their pizza is really the best. Not just in the Thousand Oaks area, but in Southern California. Now that I think of it, I don’t even think I had pizza this good in Northern California. Thank you ?
This was the first and last time we will get a pizza at Barone's. The gluten-free pizza crust was not very good and impossible to cut with a knife. The combo of cheese and toppings was not very good. The worst - and I should have walked out when I saw it - was the young man giving me my pizza and ringing up the cash register, was NOT wearing a face covering and therefore not taking seriously my health concerns regarding sanitary issues(COVID). Not OK!
