Great little place that wasn't too busy. We were waiting outside Mad Madeline's for 15 min and the line wasn't moving so we decided to try this, next door, and got right in. Glad we did. Great service, great food! I had the rib tips, they were excellent! My wife said their shoestring fries are the best, and I have to agree, they were very good! Plus $5 margaritas. Was not disappointed. Will definitely be back.
The fall off the bone BBQ ribs are top of the line. When we went we actually had a few ribs over cooked, when the chef saw, he immediately replaced the whole rack of ribs with the best fall of the bone rack of ribs we've ever had. The Mexican corn is good, not great compared to SoCal Mexican corn. Very limited on desert selection here, only plain cheesecake.Caesar salad was fantastic, & the Lil Tacos were 7/10 just needed a bit more seasoning.Service was great!
Was early meeting friends for Happy Hour so went to bar first ordered a blended Mango Margarita. Was perfectly blended and such great mango flavor. Service by Madison was awesome! Then moved to restaurant when friends arrived. They have a really good happy hour menu and a Taco Tuesday Special too but even though we were there for Happy Hour I decided to try the pork riblets dinner off the regular menu. First time there and wanted to experience it. The riblets were so good and full of flavor, served with cole slaw and amazing tasting fries for only $17.99! Definitely will be back. The brisket sandwich was huge and really good. My wife had the 1/2 burger done just right and it was excellent! The beer was cold and the wine tasty. Our waiter was one of the best we ran into in Temecula. This place looks like it gets a lot of locals so that should be your guide. I'd go back in a heartbeat!!
This place is extremely underrated. Food was the best I have had in a long time. Get the sampler everything on there was soo good omg the onion rings were so crispy and delicious the potato skins good lord amazing. They also have 5 dollar margaritas umm hello yes please they were delicious. We also got the shot sampler I mean was like 40 bucks kinda expensive but worth it comes with 4 large shooters Scooby snack,Mexican candy, cactus cooler , hisenburg. And they have karoke i this weekends after 8. My new favorite place.
First time at Texas Lil’s. We had great service, both caring and attentive!We all enjoyed our meals.I had the baby back ribs which were perfection. The default sides of coleslaw and potato salad were great!The other folks had:1) the fish & chips, made to order, fresh and very good.2) tri tip steak, served on a sizzling hot platter!3) chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. His only grumble was the mayo based sauce on the top of his Mexican corn side (not a mayo person) but was able to spoon it off so that worked. (Next time he will just request it off). I tasted that sauce alone…beware, very spicy hot!!We had never been to this area in Temecula (live about 30 minutes away) but we are already planning to return so we can wander a bit in Old Town and then come back to Lil’s!
The food was SO GOOD! We had taco Tuesday street tacos which came with a margarita or beer! Delicious including the margarita which was one of the best I've had. Stephen (Steven) our waiter was a delight and helpful about other places to go in/around Temecula. We plan on going back for Cinco de Mayo.
We went to the restaurant on a Tuesday evening and there was a Taco Tuesday offer. $12 for 3 street tacos, rice, beans and beer or a margarita. Our waitress was the friendly and super efficient Madison. The food was gorgeous, probably the best tacos I've had. The rice was fluffy and the beans also had chorizo in them. It all looked so beautifully presented too. Extra margaritas were only $5 and had plenty of alcohol in them! A wonderful meal and very reasonably priced.
We had the pulled pork enchiladas. There are no words to describe how delicious they were. So much flavor. The smoky flavor of the pulled pork with the red sauce…….AMAZING!!!! Spicy but not overly hot…. But All day every day best ever enchiladas!!!
