Chad and Anthony, the new owners, are AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, SPECTACULAR human beings and I'm so happy to have been a part of their journey and their grand opening!! I'm Deaf and they accommodate me for every show and every possible need with a smile and lots of love! ? That's so hard to find out here and I'm so very happy to bring business here!!!! They love their patrons, supported the previous owners, kept the staff, and are honoring what we all know and love while also bringing in their new vibe!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I will definitely be here often!!!
After over a decade of patronage and many great memories made at this establishment, our visit yesterday may sadly be the last time we visit public house. The food continues to be exceptionally good, but the service was consistently and jarringly off the mark. From the 20+ minute wait for seating at a mostly empty restaurant (approached by several hosts and hostesses who did not seem to know who we were or that we were on the wait list) to the abrupt and unexpected "cutting off" of our quiet and polite group of professionals catching up while sipping cocktails (a first time experience for anyone in our group at any bar), it was a pleasant evening interrupted by rather than facilitated by the restaurant. The wait staff were polite and helpful for the majority of the evening, but the lack of organization and clearly miscalculated judgement to forcefully conclude our visit are a stark and disappointing contrast to our many pleasant past experiences here.
Fantastic food but service was a little less than stellar. We had the Mac & Cheese and the Meatball Sandwich which were delicious. We wanted to share them and asked for an extra plate. They brought a saucer sized plate which was no help. Highly recommend the food but don't go when it's busy.
The food here was really good. Some of the service was actually very horrible. One of the waitresses walked by the bar and flipped off the bartender. I was kind of shocked. It took a long time to see this and then they screwed up our food. Thankfully the food was really really good. The new waiter that we were finally assigned was great too I don't remember his name but he made up for the poor service prior. Again the food was really good. I'll give them one more try.
Food good but green goddess jalspeno salad was mediocre as all arugala (or broadleaf weeds.. couldn’t tell the difference) and what jalapeno? No heat. The meatballs Sammie and chicken tacos were very good as were the fries. Service was iffy. The waitress introduced herself and nicely said to ask her if we need anything, then when asked for a soda refill disappeared for 10 minutes so I had to ask another waiter to get it.
As another reviewer noted, Public House is behind another restaurant that has a corner location so it could be missed. I was greeted warmly and was able to secure a seat at the bar. Ordered the cori lime chicken which was generally quite good though the chicken itself was a bit dry. Though I was there on the earlier side (before 7) the tables were full.
Best service I’ve had in years! Brooke was an incredible bartender, her and the servers went above and beyond to curate the best experience. Food and drinks were top notch. All outdoor patio had heating available, great atmosphere. Overall 10/10 recommend, go here!
Oh. My. Gosh. This place was awesome! Everything was absolutely delicious, food and cocktails included. A little pricier than I usually go for but honestly very worth it for the quality and vibe.
