Delicious food, nice ambiance and friendly staff! We ordered mangolian chicken, Kung pao chicken and shrimp fried rice. Everything was tasty! We will definitely come back.
As a Sunnyvale local, I have been coming to Tao Tao for many years. I was first introduced when i was a kid by my beautiful Mother, and I always loved the Chicken Salad, Honey Walnut Prawns, and Tao Tao Beef. There are lots of other tasty items on their menu. Fried Rice and Chow Mein always tastes great. Nice elegant interior from the earlier years, and I enjoy having a beer at the bar or by the window to peep the scene while i wait for my walk in/take out. Havent dined in for quite a few years however look forward to sitting down for a meal here soon.
Crazy good . We had the classics. Shredded chicken salad YUM. TAO TAO BEEF , YUM . We also had the spicy eggplant ? also really good . Eggplant was perfectly cooked. Also tried their Mai Tai as well as the Grog drink. Both wickedly STRONG.If you order the grog make sure you order a coke to back it up on.All and all Loved it all
This was by far the worst Chinese food I have had since I came to the bay. And I've had some bad ones. I got a beef chow mein. The noodles were super chewy and it was literally noodles and beef and 10 pieces of onions. I also got chicken wings which I couldn't even finish because it made want to through up. The chicken tasted like it was fried in old, dirty oil and had such a bad aftertaste. The only tasty things were the water and cranberry juice. 10/10 do not recommend.
Tao Tao has never failed to disappoint! The Chinese chicken salad is unique and delicious. We add a little bit of mustard to spice it up. The pork wonton soup and Tao Tao beef are the best - they're so flavorful. We have never found another Chinese restaurant quite like Tao Tao. My family and I have been coming here for years. They've always been welcoming and accommodating, especially to my now 96-year-old mother. She is no longer able to make the trip to the restaurant, but we regularly order take-out so she can still enjoy the food!
My parents use to take me in the 90’s as a child, and I am so happy they are still around! Some of the best fried pork won tons ever and amazing Chinese food. You won’t be disappointed with anything you order!
They checked my order after 15 mins of my arrival and said they forget to enter the order. And they need another 45 mins. There is no single dine in person in the restaurant. I don’t know how can they forget the order. Still waiting after 45 mins. So bad
This time was better than the last time.Look likeThe Chicken Salad still needed the hot mustard and the Tao Tao Beef was still missing the sesame seeds. We ordered the dinner for 6, eventhough there were just 4 of us, and it was almost perfect. We had just enough for left overs at home except for the Shrimp as (my daughter and I ate all 12 of them) and the Tao Tao Beef there were just a couple pieced that made a half way decent snack about for one person to eat at home. Considering that we ordered food for 2 extra people, we thought we would have more by way of left overs. So still small portion for the price, at least for their signature beef dish.Yet we keep coming back because the TaoTao Beef is so good! It's tender and tasty. One of my daughters really loves the potstickers; The perfect amount of pork filling to the doughy wrapper and they were fried on two sides instead of the usual one. Again, tasty!Service is always very professional, almost to the point of being non-friendly; but the are very prompt with food and refilling my water glass (very important!) and making sure we don't run out of tea.Parking is another sore spot for all the restaurants in that area. The lot behind the restaurant is always crowded and almost always full. The restaurant does not have a private lot. And no street parking due to Covid; all street parking cut off to a lot of the restaurants putting up tents to accommodate dinners with outside eating areas.
Amazing food but a bit on the slower side. We got sweet chili prawn ($15), spicy pk long bean ($12), Tao Tao special chow mein ($20). It was a total of $51.30. It’s a little expensive but once in awhile is nice. The food was better than what I expected. The prawn was firm and the beans were crunchy. The chow mein was bland but with other food is amazing. A big portion for the chow mein/chow fun, especially for 2 people. For me, the tea was AMAZING ?. The server was very attentive to us and other tables. Would recommend this place if you want a calm and quiet atmosphere.
Àmazing Chinese food. Large portions and great service
