Cantonese restaurant around Sunnyvale area. The restaurant is part of Ramada hotel. The restaurant environment is pretty good, clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and welcoming. You have tons of Cantonese dishes to choose from. Live sea food like rock cod, crab etc.We order set dinner B for 4 people, which has Peking duck two way, 1 veg fish, 1 meat dish, 1 seafood dish, 1 chef dish, 1 soup and 1 desert for everyone. The total including tips about $210.The food delicious and with decent portion. The one thing I have to pick on is Sichuan Boil Fish. Usually the fish should be in broth then poured with hot spicy chili oil. But here they just coat it with sauce.
Fantastic authentic Cantonese cooking! We had the sticky fried rice, saute pea shoots with garlic, fish filets and tofu clay pot and pork belly with preserved turnips. Flavourful and plentiful. Much needed Cantonese restaurant for the Sunnyvale area. Definitely will be back. Service was excellent
I have tried many dim sum places in the Bay Area and this is absolutely my favorite. Excellent food, great service and reasonable price. Sifu Wong Kitchen is a must try! Highly recommend in you are in Sunnyvale or worth the drive. Be sure to order their famous Peking duck dish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it ?
What a discovery. This dim sum joint certainly hits the spot. Come here with some friends or a party of six people so you can order everything on the menu even if you don’t eat it all. Take it home. Eat it for dinner or eat it the next day. This is unpretentious comfort dim sum. There are no push carts and they just serve everything you order on a menu. Koi palace still tops my spots but this is right up before there when I want to roll out of bed and into a plate full of shrimp and pork dumplings. You can easily spend 25-50 dollars a person. But our party tends to over order because we want to try everything.Anyone know why Dim Sun restaurants are so popular? There’s always a line before these places open and the same happens here.
This place is amazing, one of the best kitchen in the area with some of the best staff. The management was very helpful in helping me planning a small private banquet, they listen to what I was looking for and done the best they could to my requests, very flexible in setting up the venue and menu, very responsive to my concerns. Came the day of the party, the kitchen and staffs were on their A games. The atmosphere was great, every staffs was friendly with high energy and customer service. The foods were outstanding, all of my guests couldn't stop complimenting on how well each dishes were made, each dishes were cleaned out with no left-overs by nights end. I'm glad everything worked out well, couldn't be more graceful that I came to the right place. Even month later I still hear positive notes from distance family members, telling me they need to come back to Sifu Wong for the foods if they ever travel back to California. If someone I know were to ask me which restaurant should they plan a party, I wouldn't hesitate to point out Sifu Wong Kitchen at a heart beat.Shout out to Edwin and Stanley, they are great managers.
If you want to get authentic, quality dim sum and Hong Kong-style dishes, this is the place. The environment is clean and new, and the service is nice and gentle compared to other dim sum places. So glad that they have Mango pomelo sago, which isn’t seen quite often in Bay Area.
Two of us went there 5 mins before 10am on Sunday. There were already a line up. But we all got seated once it opened at 10. The food was fresh and tasty. They were served right off the cook top so all dishes were hot in temperature. That's what I like. I will definitely go back maybe with a few friends.
Pork rib is way too salty while other food taste yummy. The service quality is going down during peak hours due to staff shortage.
Great food great taste but they are understaffed during the crowded lunch time. So don't expect a good service. It's still a five star because the food waiting time is very acceptable.
We arrived just as they opened at 10am and were seated quickly, but after placing our order things went downhill. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed, we didn’t get our first dim sum order until 30min after we placed it, and it was the dessert (charcoal buns). Everything after that came out one at a time in 5-10 minute increments. We ended up ordering main dishes (that came out quickly) because we were hungry and getting impatient. By the time we finished our meal, we got our last dim sum order. This place is pretty good, I would’ve rated it 4 stars if not for the terribly slow kitchen. I wouldn’t come back until they improve their process.
