My Paneer Butter cheese Masala Dose was horrendous! God alone knows what that was that they served.Service staff’s :⭐️ (one person to take order for whole place can’t blame the person who takes the order)Food and Taste : can’t even rate, its that horrible. (Quality of the food UNBELIEVABLE BAD!For that Name .. in my experience is the worst for a South Indian food !

We got there a bit after 9 and despite the fact that posted hour for closing was 10 pm; the host kept rushing us to order asap! His assistant preaches that kitchen staff are human and have to go home at 9:30 when I asked about the 10 pm close! I think the restaurant hours should accurately reflect the kitchen staff availability. Having said the food is very good and it was our 3rd trip this year to this location.

Everything was ok. There are several restaurants nearby that serve delicious South Indian meal.Their pongal was good, rasam was good, every other item had some issues.Coffee was decent. As much as I would like to review items that we had it was so so… wish they serve tomato chutney extra with their meal combo.. it was a lot of sambar

This was a good decision after a hike in the nearby Rancho San Antonio park. Ever so amazing thali: where the standouts were rasam, sambhar, pineapple kesari among other things. The only special thali item that I was underwhelmed by was the dal. Filter coffee was amazing as well. You may want to add half a packet of sugar to the one they share. The dosas did seem very pricey generally stacking at about $15. Good service overall.

Really delicious and authentic TamilNadu style South Indian food. Expect a higher spice level but it’s not overpowering. Highly recommend the medu vada which is deep fried donut shaped balls made with lentil paste. They go really well with sambhar which is a lentil dish with tamarind and vegetables. We also got the Saravana Special Dosa which is pretty large - so good enough for two people and is stuffed with potatoes, onions, peanuts and spices. Have it with the trifecta of chutneys - coconut, tomato and coconut cilantro chutney. The portion sizes are decent (vadas are large) but the prices are high. If you dine in, you can enjoy the fancy ambience.Keen to try their other items.

Saravana Bhavana, Sunnyvale branch is hands down the best place for South Indian food. They have the best Rava dosa, special meal and are pretty consistent with the taste and quality. The ambiance is the best there is, reminds you of those darshinis back home.Filter coffee in the stainless steel is a Icing on the cake. It’s so good, I often end up getting two of them.Customer service is excellent. A special shout-out to AR who goes above and beyond in ensuring everything is good and is enthusiastic in her job which brings a smile to your face.P.S. This place deserves extra Love and attention and a deserving top place in the Bay Area for South Indian food !!

Food was good in taste. I suggest to maintain the higher bar of hygiene. Rest is perfect! Will visit again.

Doesn’t live up to “the” Saravana Bhavan experience! Reminded me of a typical mediocre Highway restaurant along NH47!!My expectations weren’t that high when I visited this restaurant. My expectations: Be greeted by the aroma of filter coffee - Have a decent dosa made from batter fermented to the right amount WITH the much famed Saravana Bhavan Sambhar (which many Indian households would have attempted hundreds of time, in vain, to replicate)Reality: Greeted by the pungent smell of floor cleaning liquids, the cart containing them was lying unattended in the dining area - Dosa and Chutneys were OK - Sambhar felt like the chef forgot midway that they were preparing sambhar and decided to improvise it into a Kurma like gravy with coconut!Absolutely disastrous management - I had to walk up to the counter and pay upfront, they wouldn’t take orders from the table. And to get the order served, had to walk up to them again and remind them! To be fair, this was Christmas Day and I understand they would be short staffed, but still that doesn’t mean they can just run the show with some pathetic service! This is never the kind of experience I had hoped for. Kind of got teleported to an ill-managed, noisy, untidy restaurant on some T.Nagar streets that’s usually the last resort for even the starving customers!

Been here many times, and would give it 3.5 star maybe over all my experiences.Mostly, their orders are tasty and come quickly, but today my order was skipped, got it after like 40 mins, and all the chutneys and sambar were, for a lack of a better word, pathetic. But hey, atleast i got my coffee, within a minute of my order, loved having the cold sip after my meal.

Don’t have high expectations in terms of taste. Vegetable chillin uttappam had just carrot, beans and cauliflower?!! Dirty washrooms. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
