烧鸭好吃, maybe the best at south bay

Love this place! We came here for both brunch (Dim Sum) and dinner. The food and service are very satisfying! The dining area is pretty large so we didn't wait both time we came.

Do not order your take out here! I ordered a dish about 2 hrs ago and chose to pick up at 6pm. When I was here, they let me wait for another 20 mins outside. No idea at all why one dish would take so long which I pre-ordered! If you are understaffed, you need to let your customer know! Not simply standing outside without giving any reasons!

Come here before 11am if you want to avoid the line. The best seats are close to the chefs, cuz you can see what dishes are coming out next, and get first dibs!

The Beijing duck is the most terrible duck I have ever eaten in my life. It’s $26 but I wouldn’t consider even if it was only $6. Other things are OK or good but generally too expensive compared with other restaurants. The picture only shows half of the duck cause I split it with my roommate.

We like the dim sum, but have ordered plate dishes as well. Place is bustling at lunch time and typically you seat yourself (find an open table). Food is good and portions are plentiful.

TRDR: This place crudely demanded customer to tip the suggested percentages. We have a horrible customer service experience with this place. Food was taken a long time to come out when we ordered the dish from the menu. When my father went to get a container for the sauté sauce to take home with our food. A staff came over to ask us what’s the container was for. I told her it’s for his sauté sauce. She then rudely snatched the container from my father’s hand and left while mumbling something in Chinese. I was shock. I’m half Chinese. We were taught to treat elders with respect. The staff came back with a smaller container of sauce and quickly left. I told my husband to go pay but to give only $5 for tip because I absolutely disappointed how the server treated us. The bill was $91. So my husband went to pay because no one came to pick up the check as we waited. I walked up to my husband as he was still at the register. He said the server held him back because she would not take the $5 tip. She said, “It’s too cheap!” and pointed to the suggested tips percentage and demanded us to change it to $10. My husband was going to comply but he was puzzled by the way the server demanding us to tip her better. I was searching my purse for cash then I saw her rolling her eyes at us. I was furious by then so I told her people don’t deserve a tip for bad customer service. Out of anger, I told my husband to leave no tip. I know everyone works hard during the pandemic, but we are not obligated to tip anyone. It was our first time, but it’ll be our last time here.

After a bad dim sum experience a month ago, maybe I was just pleasantly surprised. Even so, everything here was perfect. The best chicken feet I've had to date, not too salty, cooked perfectly, deliciously mildly spiced. Steamed dumplings were great, nice and hot. I visited for lunch on a weekday and service was still great. Even when they were about to close their kitchen, I ordered the salted egg yolk buns, and out they came, hot fresh and DELICIOUS. I will absolutely be coming back!

We came at night for eat dinner, we didn't like it at all. The food's taste was plain and the service was terrible. We wanted dim sum but it is only served at lunch time.

Sunday lunch you best get there when they open otherwise you're waiting at least an hour. Not the best dim sum but not many options in this area either which explains the huge crowds.
