We spent three days in Sunnyvale and had a lot of fun exploring the area around Murphy Lane. Rokko was a completely unexpected discovery. We love this place! Super great food, super friendly staff and a fun environment. Who knew that Sunnyvale could be so fun?
I would highly recommend the Kikusui Junmai Ginjo Sake. It pairs perfectly with sashimi or tempura dishes. They offer very high quality sashimi, I will be coming back for sure.
I go to this place regularly for my wife who lived in japan. If your in Silicon Valley and looking for some back home food or just Japanese culture I suggest you go. Small dishes and sushi rolls. Noodles are fresh and the service is very good.PRO TIP: when the sitting room is packed and your waiting just to get your name on a list, choose the sushi bar or bar instead. Seating there is typically quick and you get a view of the kitchen.
YUM! We love Rokko! Lovely restaurant, great food and a wonderful staff. Happy we have this restaurant in DT Sunnyvale. ?
A fun variety of Asian food options that let us satisfy everyone in the family. Tasty and fresh. Awesome to get the okonomiyaki sampler which even my kids enjoyed. Service was very attentive and I enjoyed having good soju options.
Everything is always excellent, delicious rolls and sashimi, great service
Sightly more expensive than many options, but noticably better and easily worth the cost. Fish is consistently super fresh, seasonings consistently subtle and balanced, this has quickly become one of my favorite places for more traditional-style Japanese food.
This is the best Japanese Restaurant in Sunnyvale and I just wish we had found it sooner. Brian is a wonderful manager and very personable and the sushi chef is perfect. Do not pass this wonderful experience up!!!
Rokko is actually a combination of two Japanese restaurants, but they allow you to order from both with 1 menu.Definitely one of the pricier joints, but they have a broad variety of selection. Rice bowls, okonomiyaki and sushi. I found the food pretty good with large portions. If you order a dish expect to eat it for two meals.
The food was fine... The kind of Japanese food place where they do a little bit of everything but specialize in nothing. The service was phenomenal though, super attentive, thoughtful.
