It took me 25 years to finally go to Pezzella's and it was my loss to not go sooner. Sampled the cheese pizza, Meat Ball sandwich, and the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich (off-menu). All were delicious, including their tater-tots. The marinara on the sandwich was tasty without being too salty, the roll had a good balance of crustiness and softness. The cheese on the cheese pizza had a wonderful smokiness to it; maybe a touch of Provolone? Next time, we'll order pizza as a main course and I'll post notes on that. The service was attentive, helpful, and didn't rush at all. I can highly recommend Pezzella's.
Tasty Italian comfort food. I like the fettuccine alfredo and the rigatoni with meat sauce, along with the grilled chicken. The takeout orders with Slice work well, though sometimes it takes a little longer than the expected pickup time.I also appreciate that they've been around since 1957. There's something special about a restaurant that can be part of the community for so long.
Went here for the first time the other week. Had a really enjoyable meal (chicken parmesan with a side of fettuccine Alfredo). The food and service were great - definitely coming back.
My family has been going to Villa Napoli since they opened. It was always a treat when my parents' took us there. I haven't been in at least 30 years, maybe closer to 35.My siblings and I are all in town, so this is where we went to dinner last night. We were not disappointed. They shared a Big Vinnie's (and, of course, I had a slice). I had forgotten how good their crust is!I had the manicotti. It was not remarkable, but it was delicious, nonetheless. We each had a salad, and the blue cheese dressing tastes the same as it did when I was a kid. It's what got me to love salad.
The grilled fish, garlic bread, and salad greens were delicious. The waiter was nice and everyone on the wait staff was dressed in Christmas cheer. I would certainly go there again if I was in town.
My family came in for a celebration and had a pleasant meal. The pasta, pizza and even burgers were all tasty.

It's surprising but I've lived in Sunnyvale for most of my life but I hadn't been to Pezzella's before. We enjoyed our meal. I had cheese ravioli with Carmine's spicy red sauce. The pasta was thicker than all other ravioli that I've had and I liked it. The sauce was very good. It was quite thick with a nice tang. My husband had the linguine misto. The waiter informed him when he ordered that they were out of crab legs and fresh claims but he would get more shrimp and canned clams. My husband loves shrimp so this was ok with him. He said it was good but would have been better with the crab and fresh clams. The linguine was fresh and perfectly cooked. He liked that the dish wasn't overly sauced.
Tasty food, but horrible delivery service. I had to wait an hour for the delivery service, "Slice" to arrive to find that they did not check any of the items and only delivered half the order. I then had to call the restaurant, re-order the missing items and go and pick them up myself. Finally ate my microwaved food an hour and a half after placing the order.An incomplete food delivery is worse than no delivery at all.
An Italian from back East vouched for the place and my wife likes a good tiramisu. I had hopes and made a reservation for our date night. We were seated with a single menu and left on our own for about fifteen minutes at which point we slipped out of the place unnoticed and enjoyed a feast at Five Guys. (We had a play to get to after dinner.)Maybe this is just Pandemic service and we can try again in a few years. Two stars added out of compassion for the times.
