Food is good and cheap. However today I ordered pickup from doordash, there was no confirmation from it for 1 hour.
The service or lack thereof my be the worst I have seen at a restaurant in the local area. I arrived and proceeded to wait by the counter and received no recognition or acknowledgement for nearly 5 minutes despite less than 10 patrons being in the restaurant and 2 workers behind the counter. Finally, we (my son and I) were asked if it was for take out or dining in and they pointed to an area we could sit. We waited another 5 minutes without so much as an acknowledgement of our existence though we were told to sit where we were seated. We eventually got up and exited and once again neither worker so much as opened their mouths as they watch us move to the exit. I will never be back!
I ordered Pick up through Postmates. After half an hour I got message saying it’s ready for pick up. I arrived at the place after than 10min and waited for another 30min or so and it was still NOT ready! The owner said the ready for pick up message was sent automatically by postmates (??) and it means nothing. Ridiculous. I asked a few times and the owner complained that I should not rushing them as they have 2 people at the front desk and 2 back in the kitchen. The old lady at the front desk never answer my question about when the meal is gonna be ready. The old lady even complained about us to another guy in Shanghainese. Rude and disrespectful.
We had two dishes: curry chicken and shredded pork with hot garlic sauce. Both were appropriately spicy with a hint of Shanghai-style sweetness, and had high quality ingredients with vegetables cooked tender-crisp. Portions were generous. Food would have deserved five stars, but restaurant ambience was depressing, service a bit slow, and restrooms were closed, so deducted one star from rating.
Excellent vegetarian Chinese food. They actually made a special vegetarian sauce for us and tweaked it to our taste. Good sized portion. Small place with a family vibe.
They will tell you your food is ready in the app, but tell you you still need to wait another 30 minutes when you go in there?I think they do it to make them look quick in those take out apps.Also the people here clearly don’t want to talk to customers ?
Terrible service. Wait for one hour without any notification from cashier.Tried to communicate with the cashier but no response at all.Stay away from this restaurant.
I ordered food from Doordash, and had to wait for over 30 minutes after the food was done until the person at the counter managed to pick it up from one pile of food boxes and package it. Entire parties arrived, ordered their food and got their dishes before. Organization is bad for pickup
Disgusting!! Unknown hair in the Chicken. Throw it away immediately. Never buy food from this restaurant!!
I ordered food from this place today. The gentleman who served me was pleasant and I waited in my car for 15 mins while my order was being prepared. I came back inside and my food wasn't ready and as I was standing there another man came out from the kitchen with no mask, handling food and pretty much laughed when I asked about safety and mask wearing. I canceled my order promptly. This place is not to be trusted if you care about safety and COVID protocols
