House of Kabobs is a small mom and pop shop in Sunnyvale. They have a small menu, but the kabobs are well marinated, juicy and tender! Please note the seasoning might be bit on the heavy side, so be ready to pair with some rice. The humus is great too, smooth, silky and flavorful.I will definitely come back for more kabobs.

Tough, overcooked meat. Some of it tasted spoiled or off, and it was heavily doused in msg to mask that. The tomato looked nice and charred from the outside but was completely raw on the inside. Probably some of the worst Mediterranean food in the bay.

A homely Persian restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale. It’s run by a friendly couple. We tried the platter with beef and lamb kebabs, chicken tikka and saffron rice. The meat was juicy and flavorful, especially the kebabs and went well with rice. The lavash with yogurt dip (with cucumber) was also tasty and the dip also paired well with rice and the meats. Rice was fragrant and fluffy. They have a roasted tomato on the side which enhances the flavor of the dish. Service was quick, meat is halal and portion sizes are large.

I went earlier today because my mother who is in the hospital was craving some soup. Unfortunately, e are 2 hours from home and this was the closest I could get to home-cooked soup she's used to. I walked in and an elderly man was sitting at one of the tables and the establishment was completely empty. I asked for a cup of soup and he said how many orders and I said just 1. I asked if he had some bread that he could also add to the order and he said yes I'll add but has to be cash. I said I have no cash, just card. He proceeded to go on about how it's too expensive for me to run my card for a $8 plus tax bowl of soup. I totally get this as we used to own our own atore and struggled with the cost of running the CC machine but at least give your folks the option to get $.50 added to the bill or tell them they could order a few $ more in order to make it worthwhile. But to lose a sale because of some change is ridiculous. Sometimes getting too stuck in the old school mentality is not a good thing.

Great food but a little bit on the pricey side. when me and my gf go here we usually order a main dish and a side which we share. typically we have enough leftover for a snack later.

Food quality was terrible. The owner was nice, but the beef tasted like it was spoiled, the roasted tomato was 90% raw, and the chicken was very tough.

The kabobs (I got #16 “special for two”) were the best I have ever had the the dough drink and watermelon juice were delicious. The lady was super nice and the restraunt was pretty empty but had nice decor. Definitely coming here again!

The owners are elderly and sweet, but the food is sadly tasteless. We ordered beef and chicken koobideh, as well as the fillet mignon skewer with hummus and salad. It was unsatisfying and tasteless. The greek salad I ordered had ingredients listed on the menu that were missing from the dish when it arrived. The salad was just lettuce with cucumber and green olives. The owners were very sweet, so it's truly heartbreaking that the food was so disappointing. As much as I'd want to support them, I can't justify spending $100 on food that just isn't worth the cost.Maybe try going there once to support them...??‍♀️

Terrible food, terrible staff! I got sick after having a kabob here. My husband food smelled so bad that he didn't even eat. Our friend's stew was all water. They microwaved the food and we could hear it. The rice was at least from 2-3 days and terrible. Why they don't close if they can't service properly. We will never go to this place again!

I order lunch, lunch was very awful it was really worst Persian food I have ever. The owners does not care of the quality of the food is just like the collective money as soon as possible usually doesn't take that long to lose the business because of that. My wish is he taking care of their food quality and making sure the food is a good and tasty . He can make it lots of money by making fresh food every day I hope he do that and he will be successful. good luck.
