Wait is long since they make them fresh, delicious pancakes
I appreciated how trendy and presentable everything was. Even the to-go pancakes had some effort put into making sure they looked good.Taste-wise, the pancakes were really good! Super fluffy and fun to eat. They took 30 minutes, but they make sure you know it's going to take a while everywhere, so that's fine. Two things they could improve though.1. I wish there was a way to call or order online ahead of time to save some time.2. The iced americano was only slightly cold since they didn't use enough ice to fully chill it.
These are some expensive Instagram-worthy pancakes! My boyfriend and I came here after lunch and decided to share the Original ($12.99). After taxes, it came out to be ~$14. $2 extra for matcha sauce (?)... The three pancakes were honestly a big enough portion for us to share as a dessert. The souffle pancakes are quite fluffy and have a very strong egg taste to them. Comparable in taste to Chinese egg tarts! It's definitely much more enjoyable to pair it with the tart fruit and sweet whipped cream.Overall, cute cafe-style interior. If you come on a weekday, they might have some pancakes prepared. Otherwise, you may need to wait up to 25 minutes for your pancakes. They provide board games while you wait, but I would recommend bringing your own if all the games are taken.
Nice ambience. Reservations required for weekend, there was no wait and restaurant was not even half full. Friendly staff. Food is a bit pricey for three pancakes, fruits are fresh. They are very soft and juicy. Pancake only took 10 mins to be ready (not 25 mins). You can request less sweet on drinks.Parking lot is small. Overall experience was pleasant.
No customer service and they don’t do a great job of letting customers know that they will only allow people with reservations to order, even for take out. I was there this morning at 11:10 am and the only person in line and I was told that without a reservation I would not be served. The next reservation was at 1pm and I was told I would have to come back. I could not even do take out. This was not a sit down restaurant, it was an order and pick up your meal place. There didn’t appear to be a manager or someone to offer any customer service. Sorta felt like a food court mall booth that takes reservations. The selection was very limited but I can’t tell if it was any good because they would not serve me even with no one in the store. I was also disheartened to see reviews on Yelp where they made exceptions for couples who did not have reservations so I feel singled out. While I was there I was polite asked if there was anything I could do since I had come out of my way but was only told sorry we can only serve those with reservations. I accepted that and left. I don’t often write reviews but feel like people should know make your reservation if you want to take a chance with this place. From What I gathered the pancakes are pretty good but the staff is limited and as a customer you will likely Have to clean and bus your own table. They also won’t seat you unless everyone in your reservation is there. Buyer be ware
This spot was so cute! This is the place to go for Japanese soufflé pancakes in South Bay. As someone who has failed making these on my own, it’s nice to have a place to go to for these sweets.I loved that they weren’t overly sweet and both the chocolate and matcha flavors were delicate but distinct. I do wish the pancakes were a bit fluffier and having a pancake alone without toppings had a stronger vanilla pancake flavor. Despite that, they were so nicely plated and like many others, our order came much faster than the 25 minutes estimated wait.I also ordered an iced passion fruit tea which was so refreshing for the hot day. Unfortunately their AC wasn’t working today so it was pretty warm sitting indoors. Since it was the weekend, we did have to make a reservation. There’s a small parking lot in front of the building as well as street parking available.
Loved their soufflé pancakes! Chocolate was the favorite. Tasted like chocolate mousse. Matcha was very good n I’m not a matcha fan. Go early n make reservations. Staff very nice n efficient. Can’t wait to go back.
Very cute cafe with unique fluffy pancakes. It's important to know that they only take reservations on weekends due to their limited amount of pancakes. They are strict about ordering quickly after arriving.
Not your ordinary pancake. Very fluffy. Melts in your mouth. Wait time was 30 min. Parking lot available. Extremely clean place & polite young staff. Pink girlish decor.
If you've ever tried making Japanese souffle pancakes then you'll know that it's a time-consuming and time sensitive cooking process. The standard time is usually 25 - 30 minutes minimum. We got 3 orders within 10 minutes, so bear that in mind.Rather than something you would get at a Japanese franchise like A Happy Pancake, these are more akin to the homemade versions that you'd find on YouTube. Nonetheless, they're delicious. The chocolate set looked like it could be overly sweet, but it was a very balanced sweetness, especially with a coffee. The matcha set also has a very mild bittersweet flavoring that makes it easy to devour these in 2 minutes easy. They're not quite as fluffy as you'd expect of souffle pancakes and they don't puff up and jiggle as much, but right now, this is probably one of the best choices in the Bay for such a specific brunch treat. Definitely a decent choice for an after brunch treat as the airiness of the pancakes leave you wanting more.
