This place has steadily gone downhill over time. I first fell in love with this place before they changed ownership back in 2014. Today was the worst taste and service experience yet. My kids usually love butter chicken but this time they didn't touch it. It just looked and tasted off. Too red and almost sour or something. Their chickpea soup had a bland taste. But here's the kicker. The way I was treated. Some older man cooking in the back was watching me go through all the cutlery in a holder by the register looking for clean utensils as they all looked dirty. When i finally found some semi clean utensils for my family, i looked up and the older gentleman was meanly staring at me then angrily says "You can't contaminate all the utensils now i have to wash them all". I said "Good because they are all dirty anyway so they were already contaminated to begin with". Then he just looks at me all angry then walks away. I've never been treated like I'm "dirty and contaminated" i get it. The pandemic. Then why you have the utensils up here for everyone to go through in the first place?! Then the cashier told me to go get it myself. You guys should hand CLEAN "UNCONTAMINATED" utensils to customers directly if you're so concerned. The whole restaurant in general just looked dirty. Unfortunately I'm done coming here. There are plenty of better quality Indian restaurants in the bay area so no loss for me.
The aloo tikki chaat was quite tasty, not too spicy and very flavorful. The other dish we tried was papdi chaat, which I found okish. The service was fairly quick. They have a wide variety of menu. Unfortunately they were out of tea and paani poori. The person at the counter was very friendly. They have a couple of outdoor tables and few tables inside.
Paneer tikka masala -- it had uncooked paneer cubes in sweet elaichi/cardamom gravy. excessive amounts of cardamom made it impossible to eat. And it looked nor tasted anything close to Paneer tikka masala.Chole Bature - Chole was okay, but Bature seemed like they were made in a tandoor. Tasted more like a kulcha.Either they don't know how to cook or they messed up my order -.-
We went to this place on Saturday evening, it was fairly empty. We ordered paneer and chicken kathi roll. We wanted to try papdi chaat but they did not have it so we went with aloo tikki chaat. The rolls were borderline bland, not spicy for my taste. But I did like the flavors. The chaat was okay as well. This place is good for folks who don't eat spicy Indian food.
We tried spicy chicken katthi rolls, and it was really great. Will be coming back againService was good, so you can call before ur visit and ask whats best to order
Visited there for a short snack.Loved the chicken wrap and the mango Lassi!
Terrific food. Just relocated to west coast and found this hidden gem.Chicken Tikka and garlic Naan out of this world. Comfy place..Definitfly going back ?
Chicken marsala wasnt that great but people were friendly
Tandoori chicken tastes horrible, too salty. Doesn’t worth trying!
Still very good.Chicken tikka kathi roll - yum yum. Ordered mild and it was perfect spice. Even mild is little spicy so don't go medium or spicy unless you can tolerate too much heat.Paneer tikka kathi roll - yum. Ordered mild and it's not spicy. Only problem it has too much paneer and too big pieces. Would like little less paneer and little more onions.
