For Pure Veggies from India, this is the BEST place to dine-in in Sunnyvale.First the ambience and the taste is purely feels like seating in a restaurant in India, literally. The menu are very precisely not many items but each items are just mouth watering.Yes, I am a hard core Non Veg and I have thoroughly enjoyed a Lunch here. They have good capacity seating but have some waiting time in hand as its a very popular food Destination. They have very loyal customer base.Parking capacity is decent. The washroom are very spacious and maintained well.
This is our go-to Indian place for vegetarian food. All pandemic we ordered or picked up food from here. Although there are tons of Indian restaurants on El Camino, this one stands out with superior food - on taste and freshness. We love many dishes namely - Chole bhature, makki ki roti-sarso ka saag, wada paav, parathas and thali. Thali has sensible portions that won’t put you in food coma. Staff is very welcoming and wonderful staff member Pankaj accommodated my food allergies. Overall a great place to dine in!Update: I reviewed this restaurant a month back giving out 5 stars. But based on today’s experience, I want to take off some stars. This is about the customer service which is really inconsistent. I am allergic to dairy and wanted to replace a dairy item from my house thali, last few times it was honored by a kind employee of the restaurant but today other servers refused even though this wouldn’t have impacted their business in any way, the restaurant was full. Indian restaurants doesn’t take allergy concerns seriously. I was ordering food from here for years, seems they wouldn’t be getting my business any more!!!
We have tried almost all Indian places in Bay Area now and have always attended events where the food was catered by Chaat Bhavan and never have we dined in this restaurant before. We recently visited for a quick snack bite and was amazed by how spacious and organized this place was. Food was great - we ordered Chole Bhature, Falooda drink, masala soda and Dahi sev puri. Highly recommend dining here.
When I have a craving for Chole Bhature, I head to Chaat Bhavan. Delicious food with lot of flavors. We ordered the Bombay Vada Pav, Dabeli and Dahi Sev Puri with Chaas. Rasmalai is exquisite and must try this dessert. Strongly recommend if you want to try a good Indian Chaat place. The place is mostly crowded and is easier to get seating for party less than 4 people. The staff is friendly, courteous and quick.

We ordered dabeli. It was pathetic. They gave potatoes cooked with some random masala(mostly salt) sloppily put inside a paav. No onions, Peanuts, forget about pomegranates. No dabeli masala in the filling either. It did not taste like dabeli at all. When we gave our feedback to manger in the hope that he will improve the recipe for future customers, he just defended himself saying that that's how they have been doing it for years. When we asked the waiter if we can get some peanuts or onions to make it taste like dabeli he just plainly refused. No care about customer satisfaction at all. Ohh well! Vada paav was bad too, dahi papdi Chaat was okay.
Tried their this location for the first time , we mostly go to the Dublin one …. Quality is the same …. Friendly cheerful staff and great ambiance, the place is very clean including their restrooms, haven’t seen any other restaurant’s restrooms as clean as theirs in the Bay Area ….. food was great as always , Paneer tikka sizzler was yummy but it should come with some rice or the bread their cholley are always undercooked , don’t know why…. Chaat Bhavan has feel good vibes always So won’t stop me to go back over and over
We've been here so many times and as always this place is very popular, so many people when other places are almost empty. From that you will know food here is good. We always get the hara bara bhel, a thali, Chai tea and paneer Tikka. I just wish they change the cloth table cover. Ours still has a stain from the previous eaters. Parking can also be a problem during peak hours.
We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. The place was fairly occupied, not too many people. We were really hungry and got our food fast.We tried samosa chaat, chole bhature, aloo paratha, and chaas here. Everything was good! The food wasn't overly oily or too spicy. Great taste and flavors. Will go back to try other items from the menu.
I got the left one for veg fried rice. 0 salt. I complained and drove all the way back for change and I got the right one. Apparently both are same. Both bland, tasteless. I would give 0 starts if possible. Wouldn't drive back again for the third time to get bad food
