Phenomenal service and amazing food is always a great combo, and this Murphy st Burmese restaurant satisfied our cravings. I got the egg and okra curry with jasmine rice (extra) and an Arnold Palmer, and we also got samosas to share. As you can see, portion sizes are generous and worth it. The curry was quite flavorful, the jasmine rice was well cooked, and the Arnold Palmer wasn't too sweet, just right. The ambience both inside and outside is pleasant and the servers were kind. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I recommend this spot!
The food is scrumptious. We ordered Burmese mutton curry and it was really tasty. Will surely visit again to try out more items.
Exciting place for a Burmese Cuisine in DT Sunnyvale. The owner and the staff is courteous and checks up on you. Try the Old Fashioned Cocktail(note: has a Smokey bourbon in it). The food was scrumptious and presentable. We had the sweet chili tofu and shrimp rolls(will recommend the rolls) too exquisite. Lunch w/ Mango Curry and Burmese Noodles. Good ambience outdoors in a much smaller downtown area. Definitely recommended if ya down to try a new cuisine.
The food is splendid, the plata coupled with chilly lamb was tremendous! To top it off, the bartender Marcos is an absolute delight. He custom made drinks to celebrate our occasion and was filled with joy!
Tea leaf salad was good. Garlic noodles, chicken biryani, and lamb curry were pretty average, and the food was not cheap.
Very delicious Burmese food in downtown Sunnyvale. We literally finished EVERYTHING on our plates. We will definitely be coming back for more as I was torn between the Beef Kebat and the Fiery Tofu. Went with the Fiery Tofu and was not disappointed. Next time, the Kebat!
My daughter and I had dinner at Burma Taste last night and we were delighted with the meals and the service. The food was new to us, but absolutely delicious. The service was perfect: very helpful and responsive, but not oppressive. There are lots of restaurants along Murphy Ave.; this is of the best. We highly recommend it.
Awesome and good food.. ordered Chicken Briyani which tasted so good that close to Malaysian’s. Recommended the Nan Gyi Thoke too( rice noodle with coconuts chicken curry sauce ) !! Definitely coming back to try more others
This new restaurant on Murphy Street in Sunnyvale is a must-try. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. The food was really delicious and the service was excellent. The manager is so friendly and warm. There was an issue with my credit card in my order and she went out of her way to make things right with the transaction. She was just really sweet and welcoming all around. We tried several dishes and even my young son and picky husband were raving about the food! We can't wait to order from Burma Taste again.
My friend and I recently visited the restaurant and ordered Garlic noodles, sweet sour chicken cooked with bell peppers, biryani rice. The meal was absolutely sublime. Cassandra took care of us and we absolutely enjoyed it. The food is not too spicy at all but you can request chili sauce for that extra kick. I can’t wait to go back there again.
