Sun Cafe is the best vegan brunch place in the valley. Absolutely loved the goji/strawberry smoothie, especially since it’s served in a real glass with a straw made of hay!My mung bean omelette tasted fresh although the ‘’egg’’ seemed bland. The side of tempeh bacon was only $3 more and worth it.

A friend and I had bought desserts only. The almond butter cheesecake is my favorite, rich and chocolatey.

A lovely outdoor patio, festively decorated with nature. The dishes were delicious, but the shakes and desserts were divine.Someone vegan told me he didn't know about this restaurant. My reply:It is like the Vegan Church of all things holy & delicious*nondenominational*maybe not even spiritual, idk*I would go religiously, though

Food was tasty, healthy, and organic. Service was slow and patio needed to be swept, and fixtures could use a paint job. Overall pretty positive experience.

We were looking for someplace to eat near Universal, as we were not too jazzed to eat at CityWalk. Came across Sun Cafe and it was fantastic. Great food and a great vibe. We are all vegetarian (not vegan) and the options were plentiful and the dishes we ordered were delicious. If we find ourselves in the area again we will 100% make it a point to eat here again.

The restaurant was impeccable and the service was fantastic! They allowed my daughter in with her milk when no other restaurant would. Going back weekly until I die, highly recommended!

SunCafe where have you been all my life? I’ve driven past this area easily a thousand times and never once noticed this cafe tucked behind a small parking lot located off Ventura Blvd. The menu is just ideal for anyone but a dream for us vegetarians. From Shepard’s Pie to salads and sandwiches there was so much to chose from. I had a bowl of soup which was split pea and a plant based meat of some sort. Absolutely delicious. I then ordered the SunCafe salad with bacon (also tempeh based) and it was perfect. The setting is chill and the staff very attentive with plenty of seating inside and out. I will return often I assure you. Plenty of street parking and as mentioned, they also have a small lot in front.

This place is amazing! Went on a tip from a friend while visiting and they were right! Delicious food and drinks! Huge menu and variety! All vegan and delicious! Get some!

Ordered take out here. Basic order, nachos and a shamrock shake. Right off the bat was a large fan of the lucky Irish smoothie, the occasional crunch of cacao nibs really was the difference between 3 and 4 clovers. However, I was unusually surprised to find the ingredients to a plate of nachos in my bag. Not a finished product, but a sort of grocery checklist for vegan 'chos. After I cooked it all in the oven I will say they were fully loaded nachos. The cheese is vegan and made from sunflower seeds which tasted wholesome. The food is pretty good although you may find some things fairly oily. But this defeats the purpose of buying food from a restaurant. I didn't buy a desk from IKEA, assembly should not be required. On top of that the suggested tip option was 20%. Pretentious. And if you're sitting there thinking, "who orders TAKEOUT nachos?" You'd have a pretty valid point, but this is America. Don't catch you slippin now

Excellent vegan cheeses here on the dishes I’ve had! Highly recommend the tempeh Reuben sandwich - super flavorful and the cheese is amazing. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was also delicious. The Caesar salad was ok and the lasagna was a bit disappointing due to the odd-tasting red sauce. I would not order those two again, but overall a really nice vegan spot! Will definitely be back for more desserts and the rueben!
