The food was so amazing. I had rotisserie chicken enchilada supreme and a cheese enchilada. Very upscale take on traditional Mexican food. I will definitely be back to try something else. Staff was very polite and attentive also!
Every time I go there the food is good and so are the margaritas ! Just a step up from traditional Mexican food restaurants. Free parking in the back area. If you're open to trying something a little different than a traditional Mexican restaurant...then I think you will like it!
I was not impressed with this restaurant. To start our visit... Parking is in the back so you walk in through the back of the restaurant and of course there's no one to greet you, so we kind of walked aimlessly hoping someone would tell us where to sit. Once seated in the front patio, our waitress offered us drinks. She had to come back and clarify what we had ordered, a dos Equis lager and a house margarita on the rocks. And even after clarifying three times, we ended up getting a dos Equis Amber and the house sangria. The sangria was extremely sweet and not even the slightest hint of wine. The chips and salsa, the salsa is awful, tastes like watered down tomatoes. The food, the tacos and rice were very good, the beans fall flat. The guacamole that was brought to us, which we didn't order, just tasted like mashed avocado; not good! And finally the house margarita, very strong, much better than the sangria but not quite my taste as I don't like the taste of straight alcohol. But for those of you who do, would recommend the margarita.Would rate Mexicali 3/10.
Really great authentic mexican food. All of our party loved the food we got and the margaritas were said to be amazing. We would definitely return here when back in the area to eat again!
Serrandipious find. Very yummy dishes. The cheese fondue was delicious and fun to eat. Big bowl of chicken tortilla soup and combination dishes. Service was most excellent. Must go back again.
Big fan of this place! The burritos are all incredible, salads are huge and tasty, and the drinks are strong with great flavor! They have something for everyone, regardless of preferences of dietary needs. Highly recommend.
I've always felt like Mexicali was a mexican food restaurant that sought to elevate mexican cuisine. Interesting protein choices, a wide swath of dishes, and, of course the tequila! Oh my goodnes! If you are connoisseur of tequila then you'll want to come here! With about 50 different tequila's it has to have something for everyone. Come to Mexicali if you want to try Mexican food with a different angle!

Oh my God. My gf And I went here for the 1st time the other night, we had the fajitas and the Margarita martini combo drink. We had a great time and the garlic spicy sauce is so good, it's a great atmosphere and the service is really good as well, 2 thumbs way up.
This place is an amazing find! Had the crab salad and chicken fajitas (shared both). Fajitas for one and that salad was MORE than enough for our large appetites!? Serena is a lovely server and when she was with another table one of her coworkers (a blonde guy, but I didn’t get his name!) stepped in and took our order patiently answering all our questions, even though we weren’t his table. The manager was also wonderful. Great place to eat!
