Great portions and the food is always great to. Way better than the other chains.
The place is clean and quite big. The foods is almost the same with Ono Hawaiian. All are good, the macaroni need a little more seasoning.
We were supposed to just get some sodas. But we passed the Sunshine Hawaii restaurant. I've never been there, in the 3 years I've been here, so it was a cool surprise.We had it to go. They had many different plates to choose from, I had the cashew chicken. It was great. I would definitely recommend it, but for a special occasion.
I had been wanting and craving to visit this place for sometime now, especially after they re-opened months ago. Typically, I live in the neighborhood, and kept putting it off until January 24th. I guess it was time, and it finally happened. My craving was still there, and I suggested it to my friend who I was with, who was also hungry that we look at their menu before ordering by phone for pick-up. I pulled-up the menu on Google Maps, and on their website, and I found it wasn’t giving me enough information, or, missing some information about what exactly is included in the Combo dishes, and the photos didn’t help either. Nonetheless, anticipating a great choice and food, I called to ask questions before ordering to go. The male who answered (I forget his name) was helpful in his answers. We ordered 2 Chicken Teriyaki Combos with fountain drinks, and picked it up in 20 minutes. I was greeted by the same male who answered the phone, and the excellent service continued. He continued to be helpful with providing a hassle-free pay transaction, and courteously made sure that I was aware of the help-yourself condiments, and I left with delicious smelling Combos in-hand with his friendly goodbye. The food was delicious, and service was excellent. I will be back any day now. I recommend this. Thanks
Food was delicious, big portions, customer service was good, I went an hour before closing and the kid in front was smiling and joking felt very welcoming better than ono Hawaiian sometimes
We love this place!! Food is ALWAYS on point, the dining room is immaculate, though dated. Service is always on point to!!
The food was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't get to eat all my plate, because the person I was dining with did chew his food good enough and began choking after helping him dislodge the food that was stuck in the stroke. Stroke he spit it on in my plate. Ruining my meal but saving his life.
The Kalbi Short Ribs plate is my favorite dish to have here. It's the usual for me. And compared to other Hawaiian BBQ places, Sunshine cooks it just right. Macaroni salad is well prepared and it taste great. The teriyaki sauce is also prepared well and isn't overpowering. I also can say the same for the Lodi location. Their cooks do a fantastic job.
Came here to pick up a order and this place was really clean and it doesn't have a lot of people. A great place to eat tried their macaroni salad and rice it was delicious!
The Fire Island Chicken is spicy and delicious, rice is moist, and pasta is tasty! Get over here and eat something different.
