The place was great just ONE MAJOR THING WRONG i made reservations and specified it was my aniversary and wanted flowers on table once i got there NO FLOWERS great how do i explain that to my 14 year wife no flowers on the special day i know you will charge for them or else i wouldnt ask for them that was the important part FLOWERS that was the point for adding a especial on reservation..... but over all it was ok

Always a treat when we take a trip out to Stockton to have a meal at one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area.
Noise level high. Not conducive to conversing. Good not as good as usual. Service great.

I had the Wood Grilled Octopus (so tender!) and the Beet & Citrus Salad. Both were outstanding. My family also ordered the salmon, mac and cheese, the short ribs, Ceasar salad, hummus, and one of the desserts. Everything was great. But I must comment that the young woman who was our server did the best job of anyone serving me in the last couple of years. She did everything right. So I left a tip of around 33%. Well deserved.

Market Tavern is our go to restaurant in Stockton. I love their food and always have a great experience. I do wish they would freshen the menu a bit, particularly brunch on Sundays and I miss the seasonal cocktails. Overall, their food is delicious and I enjoy going.
