Had Manny‘s a couple days ago workers were very friendly. Food took a little while to come out but it was fresh and I’d give it a four out of five. Place was clean but looking a little rundown could use a little makeover here and there.
Been dining at Manny's California Fresh on the Miracle Mile since the 70s, one of my all time favorites. Would frequently stop there after catching a movie at the Royal back in the day. The only reason I gave 4 stars is they discontinued the rotisserie chicken which was awesome. It came with a side of garlic bread, fries, and ? corn on the cobb. But their Manny Burgers are awesome, you don't get cheated on the meat patties and their fried chicken is really good too. They are reasonably priced and offer either open table or booth seating with a mix of old and new music playing on the speakers as you enjoy your food. And don't forget the Manny Sauce for your fries!
I was very disappointed today. I've NEVER had a bad burger or anything from Manny's for over 40 years. Don't know what the cook was doing but my burger was dry, warm and smashed. Looked like it was just thrown together. The fries were pretty warm, but not the quality they are known for. It was 1:00 pm just after the lunch rush, so I don't get it. So sorry this happened.
Absolute worst customer service ! If your website don’t work then fix it ! Cashier thought it was perfectly acceptable to disrespect me on the website like it’s my fault ! Refused to take my order but when it came down to giving me my food she had no problem slamming it on the counter and walking away… Will never be back or recommend it. I guess she thinks it’s ok to serve me this skinny piece of bone. This place is a joke I’ll give them 1 star for the little effort
Was the best experience I ever had at any restaurant! I had order a pretty big order and was maybe 3 and some change short I offered the cashier Mariah to give me a second and I can run home and get the rest of the money! Not only did she pay for the rest of the change that was due she told me to take 5 dollars off and payed the 8 dollars remaining! She is so awesome for that and mannys I want to thank u for hiring such an amazing worker she is a keep God bless u Mariah and thank u so much again
Restaurant:Manny’s is now one of the best places in Stockton to get diarrhoea and experience projectile vomiting if you haven’t already.Customer Service:i went in just yesterday to get lunch. On the phone the guy was extremely rude.. told me inwill be $14.99 and when i got to the restaurant it was $17.99 for an oyster dinner.POC guide to order here:I gave him the name “Luke” because i know they hate “complicated” names here. i walked in, gave them the name Luke and they had no idea. i told them it was an oyster dinner and then tbey were able to find my order tag. guess what it said instead of my name. He put O.C on my order. i saw it. his employees saw it and had a slightly shameful giggle.Food Handling:They dont know how to clean or cut their oysters. Whoever picks up the phones and cooks in the kitchen should just quit the restaurant and other things that are bothering them. because clearly they can’t be fired. I will be reporting this business for almost poisoning me last night.
This was my fish and chips. $15.95 for this. I’m not one to complain or make a scene so I just ate (I was super hungry lol) but it honestly sucked so bad. Beware
Worst experience to date. I called and placed an order for two chicken sandwiches at 12. I was told it would be 20 minutes. Got to the restaurant 20 minutes later and was told it would be just 2 more minutes. While waiting, I noticed the lady preparing the food wasn't wearing gloves or an apron. Her hair was down and th sleeves of her sweatshirt were getting into the dressings. Another employee or manager, came to the back and started eating fries out of the container while watching what everyone else was doing. Then proceeded to package two orders of fries without washing her hands.15 minutes later my sandwiches were finally ready. One of the sandwiches was missing the veggies. But by the time I got my order, my lunch break was over so there was no going back. Definitely not what Mannys used to be.
I couldn't believe it. I went in couple months ago and their "Carmel" sandwich, which is MEATLESS- just alfalfa sprouts, tomato, avocado, onion, cheese & mayo on wheat-berry bread (& a pickle sphere) went up from $6 something to now $8 something!!! And they changed the mayo or something on it where it doesn't have the flavor that it used to- it's not as good as it used to be. They DID make it very big, so it wasn't skimpy at all (last time I was there it was), so that's why I'm giving it at least one star, because it was very big/filling. But the fact that it's $8 now really chaps my hide because there's not even any meat in it, so it's not that expensive to make. For years it was $4.25 (and before that $3.75) and I understand prices rise over the years but that is too much for a meatless sandwich. And I've always hated it that they don't have prices updated on their menu- like they think they're fancy upscale restaurant! And the menu inside the restaurant, IF they have prices, are inaccurate- they don't update them so you never know what your paying 'til you get your receipt. French fries are like $4, and I don't even know how much the onion rings are- you probably have to take out a loan!
Best damn burger joint in Stockton. There food and attitude is what sets them above the rest ?
