I enjoy Don Rafas. It's not horrible, it just isn't the best. They have a variety of menu items and great customer service. They also have a nice clean outdoor eating area. I don't like that customers have to get their own salsa and limes.
CAnt say enough good things about this place ! I have trouble gettin my daughter to eat anything in any day ! And we happen to come here with my other girl who had good things to say about this place and to our surprise my little girl ate 4 tacos !! And then asked if we could come here everyday lol. Anything to get her to eat guess we will be permanent guest here for dinner ? I've never seen such a clean homely environment to sit and eat with family even In heat it was so cool and fresh ! Oh yeah but the food was sooooo homemade and GOOD! The cook was so kind ! Gracias por Un experiencia hermosa ! parte de yo y Mi familia Dios te bendiga ??
This taco truck is over exaggerated. I tried it in the past ordering a Torta , by the time i got home, (I live down the street) the bread was soggy with oil and whatever else. Tonight my husband couldn't find a taco truck open so I figured... "You cant mess up tacos"... Well they aren't bad tasting but the usual greasy wetness is all over. For the high price, they use the absolutely smallest yellow corn shells they could buy.. I get it .. pandemic and all... Raise prices, down grade the quality cause people will still buy it anyway... Shame on you....
I don't understand why businesses think it's good customer service to not have the prices of their products listed. Their answer when asked why was "I can tell you the prices." So she says. Businesses do not spend a dime without knowing how much it costs so why is it okay for customers not to know. I go to taco trucks because they work hard and they deserve the business. This isn't the only taco truck doing this. I've been to 3 trucks that have done this and the only reason Don Rafa got my money was because of circumstances. Usually I tell them they lost money today and I won't be coming back regardless if they do the right thing or not.
I love Don Rafas! Their burritos are really good! My husband usually gets steak fries but he didn't like the fries they use here. But he's happy getting a burrito. I am sad they don't carry horchata but they have plenty of other options. Strawberry aqua fresca is yummy.
This place is overly hyped, I was there a few years ago when they first opened and it seemed like a good place to eat, I ordered a beef burrito at the time and it was good not great.....BUT!!! I went there recently and everything changed, when you pull in and get out of the car you feel like you are in a nightclub with many tacky lights and music which in my opinion is completely unnecessary but I guess that's what brings in customers, and a makeshift concrete ramp that leads up to the giant taco truck, a BIZARRE EXPERIENCE. on the menu they are advertising a hot Cheeto burrito which essentially is just Hot Cheetos inside a burrito and I thought to myself I do enjoy Hot Cheetos and I do enjoy burritos so why not combine them, and so I ordered it, BIG MISTAKE, I took the first bite and it was immediately a messy experience with too much sour cream goosing all over the burrito, so I had to put it on the plate and eat it with a fork and knife, it was too salty, too spicy, and too creamy but I didn't want to waste it so I ended up eating most of it, an hour later I had an upset stomach and ended up barfing which burned my throat for a while which was a horrible experience, and the next morning I had diarrhea which also burned. I asked my friend who is a physician about what it could be, and he thinks it was bad meat combined with all the hot stuff. I am 35 years old and this was the first time I threw up from the food I just ate. in conclusion if you have a weak stomach, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Tacos are pretty good and price isn't too bad compared to Bay Area prices. Agua de Pina was pretty sweet. Torta wasn't too good. It's more a place if I come back I'm getting tacos. Taco truck with plenty of benches to sit.
I ordered a sope of asada it was good and a generous amount. Only issue I had was that there was a stand were you put on salsa and other sides like lemon, salsa and veggies. I noticed nothing was covered and pretty much anyone and everyone can touch the food items in the this area.

Very disappointed ordered a Large agua de Tamarindo and it’s Spoiled very nasty water. It’s not fair that I payed cash and she didn’t give me my receipt $4.36 for a large drink spoiled. My son mom it has a yucky ? taste ????Tacos were good ??But do Be aware they don’t do exchanges or REFUND EVEN WHEN ITS SPOILED WATER…. ?? ???Just imagine how people can get sick.No es justo bien hechada a perder mínimo cambiarla por otra.
