5/20/22 RIP OFFS! I visited this Pershing Ave. Site today. I ordered a simple order of 4 meatballs and 2 foccaccia breads with butter. I asked the female staffer, can I get a cup of ice water? She said , yes. I then said, " I'd like a large cup of ice water. How much do you change? ". The girl tells me $3. I said $3 for what? Water? She says, yes and for the cup. I immediately started to laugh. I told her, "wow charging for a cup of ice water is ilegal" and if the cup is $3, this is a RIP OFF!! And I'm going to put my experience here on Google & yelp". I finished my transaction and left.I never come in to this location. I wish today I hadn't. I>>ì
Gonna be completely honest, this place has gone down hill tremendously within the last couple of years. Employees not using gloves when handling your food, raised prices, smaller portions. I realize the pandemic has made it harder to find employees, but a lack of hygiene is just unacceptable. I have been coming here since I was a child, but unless things change I won't be spending any more of my money here.

Went looking for a meatball sub and Italian sandwich. The restaurant was dark and looked closed. The woman working the counter was friendly. She did not know how to make a meatball sub. The two men working laughed at her and didn't help. They were out of ham, and at first, told me they only had turkey and pastrami. Then one of the men said they had salami. The woman proceeded to make a salami sandwich. While the men preferred to stand around holding up walls and cases than to work. The meatball sub looked as tho it would be served cold. The quality of the veggies for the sandwich was poor.It was an unprofessional experience so we opted to leave without buying anything.
I really hate leaving bad reviews... They used to be really good with good portions. Now that just isn't the case anymore! Tonight my husband and I got 2 meals that come with choice of pasta, salad, focaccia and drink. One was Alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs. The Alfredo was very very bland and the sauce for the spaghetti was like soup. The salads were prepackaged with this funky vinaigrette soaked beans ontop that wilted the lettuce and was everywhere, i tried to pick out the good pieces but gave up and just tossed it. The bread was ok but definitely not what it used to be. And the portions were ridiculously small for the price... $30! This by far was the worst! Jar sauce you get from the store is so much better! It really truly sucks now and won't be going back and will definitely be letting friends and family not to waste their money anymore.
I was craving a chef salad, and I remembered De Vinci's. What happened to the food. Turkey tasted old and everything was a mess. Next time I'll just go to Eric's Pizza and save myself the $12.
Love the ravioli, I got a small bowl but the food is hearty and filling. Its great reheated.
Prices have gone up and the quality and quantity have gone down. Sad. Foccacia bread is excellent.
Good authentic food, and nice service. We will return! Only thing I think I'll do next time is ask my server to drain as much juice as possible from their kidney beans and olives before placing on my salad; it made my salad too soggy.
They have a great salad. Not a big fan of anything else though.
