First time at Dave Wongs and we really liked it. Will definitely be going back soon
Great food. Prices are good.
Our group of 14 was travelling across California and looking for a good place in Stockton after hiking in Yosemite. Dave Wongs was awesome in getting us our own private room which was perfect as one couple was celebrating 30 years of marriage. It was super easy to access off the highway as we were travelling through. Despite our size, the service and food were amazing. My wife and I shared the Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef which were both very good. However, it was the Hot and Sour Soup that was excellent. They even managed some ice cream for the celebrating couple. All is all this was a great meal that we all enjoyed.
Beautiful restaurant great service we will come back.?
wife and I love this place, food is always hot and meat is unbelievable tender. highly recommend eating here.
Disappointed! We took a friend to Dave Wong's for dinner, had reservations. The service by the staff was very poor, our waiter took our orders and we did not see him again until when we was ready to leave. After the dishes was served nobody ask if we needed anything else. The restaurant was closed through most of the pandemic and sold to group of employees. The food quality and customer service is not the same as before. It is too bad since Dave created a wonderful business and have new owners change the restaurant into not so good place to eat. ?
Always great food and friendly service. Whether you order from the deli, eat in the bar or the restaurant, the food is always tasty and fresh. I have a lot of favorite dishes.
Service was excellent as was the food. Will enjoy leftovers for lunch tomorrow
Had the Mongolian Beef Lunch, Broccoli Beef and an appetizer of egg rolls. We use to frequent Dave Wongs before Covid and this was the first and last time back. Broccoli had a fish taste, rice was hard in some areas and mushy in others. Egg rolls were greasy and soggy like they were reheated. Service was poor. Sad to see such a nice restaurant decline.
Stopped for lunch and tried the mixed dish plates which is a fun way to sample what they make. Some dishes were fantastic (the fried rice, the garlic fried chicken), the szechuan dishes though lacked a lot of the spice and flavor. Still if you are sample multiple dishes you will get more good than bad.
