We were a group of 5. Unfortunately they had only 1 table that could seat 5 so we were told there was a 20-30 minute wait. This 20-30 minute wait actually turned into about a 75 minutr wait.I was eager to eat there, so we toughed out the wait. When we ordered, we were told it would take about 40 minutes before our food was cooked. As we had already waited so long, we decided to order anyway. The food came out about 30 minutes later (so 10 minutes before what we were told). The food was very good. We were in for breakfast and I enjoyed a huge pancake, 2 scrambled eggs with 4 strips op bacon cooked to perfection. This was accompanied bij a big pile of hash browns. I added a side of sausage, just for good measure. I must say the food got me back into my good mood quick. I really enjoyed it and found the prices very reasonable.

With the change in ownership comes changes in approach, price increases and a few menu changes that impact my usual order. Don't worry though, the food is still greasy albeit plentiful and a few of the employees have stuck around while one or two that I saw should have moved on in my view. The writing has been on the wall since I noticed the web address went up for sale a year ago and sadly while the change was inevitable it's still sad to see it take place..... you'll be missed Steve Grant....... your smile, that gentle laugh, your unique flip of an egg, the occasional sharing of opinions, yes indeed you will be missed, but never forgotten.Economically it was a good move I would imagine, tough times are ahead. Let's hope the new blood does more than just ride the coat tails of the established Chuck's name.

I have been going to this business for years since it was across the street but today will be the the last day I spend my money there breaks my heart because it brings back so many memories but the service I have got today was unacceptable. The server was rude rolled her eyes at me. The food has gone down hill I ordered chicken it was so tuff and chewy it was so over cooked. I was told by the owner of you don't like go somewhere else they didn't need my business. He also said he doesn't cater to kids that why they don't offer food for kids but has kids cups.

I walked a few miles away from my house to this "diner" at 5:45pm only to find that they were closed to dine-in seating and I was subjected to ordering from the takeout menu which was a small assortment of food you would find if you went to the kitchen at a hospital with no variety. I've visited this diner before years back and don't remember such a desolate atmosphere. The diner front staff had a dark shadow hanging over her as if all life was taken from her soul. (She was just there for the paycheck it seemed) I ordered a hamburger with cheese because that was the only option for this diner that was in the top 20 of burgers in stockton, and chicken tendies. The foodThe hamburger was a soggy mess with half rotted lettuce and severe lack of any salt. Onions were okay (chopped up). Cheese was the highlight. The fries were just soggy stubs which seemed like they were microwaved, I had to airfry them to be able to hold one without it lumping over like a grandpa's rod. The ranch provided seemed like it was diluted with water to increase the quantity they had.Overall rating .7 out of 5 shmeckles.

We got to chuck's at about 9:00 am on a Friday. We were greeted by a very nice young lady, very polite. We had to wait about 5 minutes or so not bad. We were seated and waited to be greeted and get coffee for at least 5-10 minutes. So finally the server gets to us and we place our order and waited 40 minutes to get out breakfast. Not just us everybody looked like we're waiting for a while. Our breakfast was okay, my wife had the breakfast burrito she seemed to really like it. I had the hamburger patty and eggs. The patty was so big it needed to be cooked a long time so it was very dry and had no flavor no matter how much stake sauce I put on. After waiting for service and eating our breakfast, we were there for 1 1/2 hours. If you don't have a lot of time to eat breakfast, you may need to pass on Chuck's.

Been a long time since I've been to chucks I used to go when it was across the street not as good as it used to be service was good they messed up on our order brought the wrong stuff out, took us about an 45 minutes to an hour to get our food but I'm used to that because of covid and being short-staffed we understand but the quality of food wasn't like the Chucks of old.

Service is amazing, very friendly and attentive staff.Portions are well beyond expected. Food could stand to have more seasoning. Overall a great experience! Dollar goes a long way here. Will definitely be going back soon!

I’ve been here years ago but no more after today. Had breakfast and it was terrible. Hash browns were browned on outside but soggy inside. Egg was runny even after an order of over medium. Sausage was brunt and the gravy for the biscuit was yuck and came from a can. You can buy much better canned gravy at the grocery store. The service was fair. Save your the disappointment and head on over to Dennys!

Food is amazing and the servings are huge! We had a great waitress and continued to make sure we were fine.

Great food and great service! Bring your appetite because they have huge portions. I highly recommend it
