Do not come here if you value your time. It takes 20 min for them to steam up or heat up an order of Siu Mai to go
Overall, the food is not bad. What looked like separate food stalls, like the ones in Asia, are all for show. You order at the front cashier and pick up the food at the back counter. The place is smaller in person. I do like the Hong Kong and Taiwanese influence of the menu. After sitting a while on their plastic chairs, my back started to hurt and had to get up. We had a large order and was missing an item. Luckily someone in our group noticed and had to talk to the cashier. Of course the flavors aren't as good as the real food stalls in Asia. I think it might be the local ingredients. The one thing I didn't like was how most of the stuff was served in to-go containers. Such a waste.
The Night Market is an interesting place. They have impressively managed to replicate the feeling of an overseas night market/stall experience indoors complete with folding tables and plastic chairs. I tried a variety of dishes with a small group and overall the food was OK - nothing stood out to me. Both the desserts we tried were underwhelming. I do wish they had more condiments beyond soy sauce and sriracha. Here are my ratings:- Siu Mai: pretty solid with some juicy shrimp. These are big and meaty.- Hot oil dumplings: the filling of these tasted almost identical to the Siu Mai except they were in a sauce. The sauce leaned sweet and gloopy and not so spicy - I think this could use a bit more spice and โ้บปโ flavor to make the dish stand out- Sliced pork belly with sauce: pork was tender and sauce was ok (tasted like dark soy sauce). The slices could have been much thinner IMO but everyone enjoyed it anyways- Salted egg yolk pumpkin: probably my favorite and best executed dish that we tried. Crisp slightly salted exterior and nice fluffy interior. A delight to eat.- Fish cake skewers: for some reason, I was expecting this to be a grilled rather than boiled skewer. This was very underwhelming. It tasted like they just boiled some sliced fish cake in chicken broth. I feel like they should provide some of the broth in the container (similar to oden)- Sesame balls: very over fried but good tasteOverall I had a fun time here and I would still probably return to try some of their noodle or meat dishes.
It's pricey for mediocre food and portion.I wanted milk pudding (T8) but they were out and so I got Silken Tofu pudding (T3) which was soft tofu with simple syrup...without the syrup, it did not taste like a dessert at all. There was also an after taste so I was disappointed.
Decent food. Clean atmosphere. A bit on the pricey side.
Nice asian street hawker feels!
This place is Amazing, Feels, and taste like a real Night Market
Love Love Love this place so much! It brought me a lot of great memories of HK. I just miss HK so much. The foods are very authentic. If you love HK street food, you must try this place. The place is very clean and the staffs are very welcome and friendly too. :)
Food was very good. You sit on small plastic stools around round tables. Hong Kong style street dining. I recommend them.
Cart noodles were good, overpriced though
