This truck is a ripoff. It seriously put me off Lobster rolls for the longest time because of how expensive these were with barely any lobster in it. Nope, a real lobster roll actually does pack in the meat and use much larger rolls. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS TRUCK.Also, I'm curious how long until they're forced to leave SF with all of their bad reviews, just like they left LA. Red Flag.
What a dud. I dont care what a lobster roll costs. When i order one, i'm not thinking about price.... i'm thinking about lobster. I want lobster... pack the roll full of lobster! More bread here than lobster.... even less lobster than a hot dog.. but they did include some shell. now to figure what i'll eat for dinner.
The roll was disgusting and cold lobster white bread no flavor very fishy
Tiny little roll, outrageous price! This was literally smaller than a kids’s hot dog and was bland and cold to boot. I ate it in one bite and was left wishing I hadn’t.Don’t waste your money. There’s a reason you don’t see a lot of lobster around in this town!
Tiny portion for $15 and a side of major attitude. Not worth it. How are you going to be out of herbed Mayo when you’re parked directly in front of the grocery store?
I am a very happy camper. I was at Whole Foods on Telegraph in Berkely picking up my grocery order and noticed the “ lobstatruck.” So glad I did. The lobster was very tasty, just like rural maine it came in a white bread roll drenched in butter. I got the bisque with it. On a 1-10 it was an 9. The roll was an 8. The roll needed at least an additional third to twice as much meat for the price. Still happy though and I will go back.
Its sounds obvious right? Dont eat lobster out of a truck.... first of all it's small and costs 15 plus dollars. Then its practically too rubbery to actually chew, and it gave me a few hours on the throne to think about my actions.AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This was an AWFUL experience! The food was not prepared properly as it gave me the Norovirus and had me messed up for days. I definitely advise proceed with caution!
I ate at this Food Truck yesterday evening at the Oakland Museum because I wanted a crab roll and needed to grab a quick bite before my long drive to Sacramento. Big mistake! Like other reviewers, I had a bad experience. There was no line which should have been my first clue. The guy at the window was extremely curt and unfriendly but it doesn’t stop there. My sandwich was quite expensive 20 bucks in total but absolutely nothing to write home about. I arrived in sacramento about 2 hours later (traffic) with crazy heartburn and nausea which got worse by the minute. I made it home barely able to move. I got SO SO SO sick! I will spare you the details since you are probably reading this review with an appetite right now trying to determine if this truck or establishment is worth the cost. DON’T DO IT! Go to another vendor!!!!
Two bites and you’re done. Flavor is not lacking just the portion size. If you want a snack this is the truck to go to but for something more filling, go somewhere else.
