I've been to El Tesoro many times with my girlfriend, as we live just nearby. We both enjoy Mexican food regularly, and can confirm - It's one of the better fast casual Mexican places around. It's one of our go-to "classics" around the Daly City\Pacific\Westborough area. The food is always consistent, and I've never had anything bad here. My personal favorites are the pollo en salsa or the Chile Verde pork. I usually go for the super burrito, great size, good price, and every entree item or order of at least 2 tacos comes with free chips and a free salsa bar, which is excellent ?. Sadly not enough Mexican places offer their chips or salsa for free, but these always taste fresh. I run out of the restaurant chips and end up using some chips from home to finish off the salsa it's so good! This isn't the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it is tasty and for its consistency, price, and free sides, it can't be easily beaten. The only drawback is that sometimes the staff are not exactly friendly, and food can take quite awhile if they have call in orders or others in line or seated in the restaurant.

I ordered chicken Fajitas plate with extra well done but I received food almost like a raw also the pieces are to big, I never seen this type of Fajitas!! So ugly experience with them!!!!

We had the camaron (spicy) entree and pollo tacos and they're so good. Will definitely be back..

Real good Mexican restaurant, the carne asada was fresh and tasty, really liked the salsa bar!

The food this time around was not as good as previously experienced. My super burrito was super Al Pastor fell apart when I unqrapped it. I also order 2 quesdillas with the sour cream and guacamole on the side but when I got home they were no where to be found so without they were dry kinda of like eating cardboard.

Came through in a pinch for lunar new year when the supermarket next door closed the fish fry station. My partner was trying to think of where to go when she went into the taqueria to inquire if they serve whole fish, which they do for only 15.95 and comes with beans, lettuce, guacamole, tortillas, sour cream, chips and salsa. Stopped by again the following week to order another fried fish and a lengua burrito. The burrito was just ok but the fish was really good, want to try the crazy burrito and crazy fries.

This Taqueria & Grill has improved since my last meal here. A solid “loose” 4-star rating on the Google App with some room for improvement. If the food wow’s me moving forward I’ll put in that fifth star. Chips & salsa bar are good. The staff, especially the cooks/grill men, may want to show some enthusiasm or interaction with its customers who are trying to support the place. A simple “hola” would be cool. Cooks control the pace, call out what food orders are ready so the to-go customers can grab and go. Ándale!!! Let’s go business owner! The potential is there to make this place hoppin’ and be a money maker for you.

I’m here in the restaurant, We are in pandemic ? why the cooks aren’t use it the mask in the right way ???????? and they are talking a lot over the food

Nice place to grab a quick tasty lunch.

Like most taquerias in northern or central CA, this place charges way too much for subpar Mexican food. Twenty bucks for a burrito and a taco that are mostly just rice, beans, and other cheap filler ingredients. The guacamole is that nasty sauce style junk. Hmmm…$6.75 for a taco. How big is that taco or is that more than one taco? Wait, how big is that one taco, again? What we recvd was fit for a soup bowl, not even recognizable as a taco. Almost $6 for a beer!? Overall, this place is dissatisfying.
