The food incredibly good. Very nice atmosphere, and very clean. Staff was friendly also
I’ve been visiting Darby Dan’s since 1979. This restaurant is a hidden jewel right in public view. 733 Airport Blvd in South San Francisco. Easy to find and close to SFO Airport. The fresh breads, especially their Sour Dough Rolls for sandwiches are mouthwatering. They also have a grill kitchen for hot foods. Plenty of staff to keep the wait time to a minimum. Every time I stay in the area, I use Uber to take me there for a taste of Heaven.
For people that are serious about sandwiches, Darby Dan’s is living the hood life, South San Francisco style. I recommend the Darby Dan signature sandwich as it comes (don’t mess with perfection) on Dutch Crunch bread. If you can go on a Thursday and Friday the 1/2 Shrimp, 1/2 Crab salad sandwich is a little bite of Heaven!
The turkey sandwich is good!
Love this place , they have a garlic mayo spread that they had for 40 years that I have been going there and fresh crab salad sandwiches Thursdays and Fridays. Good Deli for a quick sandwich to go or small comfortable dining area to relax eat there or just take with you , and a plus you can enjoy a cold beer on tap or bottle and many other non alcoholic drinks , my fav since 1978
Best sandwich is the half and half on dutch crunch bread...only available Wed-Fri.
I'm not a big fan. The food is overrated and the quality is not all that. It's dark and dreary in there. This is more of a construction worker etc. eating establishment. Maybe if they did some cosmetic work and some happier employees it might come alive. This place has been here 4ever.

Had their pastrami on a soft roll, which was good. Super friendly couple behind the counter and clean place with a few TV's on for entertainment while you eat.
