we two thought this restaurant has a nice decoration outside and it should be a good one. we ordered “Guifei Chicken”, which was not good, not in whole pieces for each sliced one. The second order was beef with bones, but it tasted lamb at beginning, then beef, it must cross contaminated during cooking or preparation. our third order was Dry fry of rice noodle, but the texture is boiled. I believe everyone got a free hot and sour soup which is strangely oily. we tried not to complain, but determined we would never come back. we spent $50for this lunch. Viewing the bill, $15% Service Charge was enforced plus tax for this 15% and tax for your order. We asked what this was, answered tip. but bill has a space for tip. we asked why, answered no one pay tips, so our system set up the automatic charge for tip. Now we understand why people do not want to pay tips because the food was terrible.
WORST CRISPY NOODLE EVERSoggy noodles in watery sauce, not a shred of crispy noodle in this “HK CRISPY NOODLE” item in the menu. The noodle was tasteless. The sauce just bland. SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE! I had such good Crispy Noodle at Hing Lung next door but it was closed that time so I decided to try the same dish at Cheung Hing—huge mistake. The waitress was rude and spent more time at another table, bending over her phone. Here I was, a single customer ordering a single dish and they charged me a 15% SERVICE CHARGE. I will need to check further if this is a legal practice in So. SF.Of course, I would never set foot in this restaurant again. I ‘m still amazed as to how such a bad restaurant can still survive on Grand Avenue. It should get a Minus Stars.
With an encyclopaedic menu that spans everything from live seafood to Chinese bbq, it’s good to know what to order at this brightly decorated, very reasonably priced Cantonese restaurant.I’ve never been to a place with just a clay pot section, and an extensive one for that matter: the sizzling chicken and the roast pork with oyster were generous in portions and served in a comforting brown sauce. The pea sprouts with garlic were sautéed to perfection. However, the deep fried items (seafood included) were tasty, but left us yearning for a bit more of the flavor. The ginger crab could have been more gingery, the fried chicken wings a little more salty, and the salt and pepper prawns just a bit more spicy. The place is definitely worth coming back to, and with time, likely to grasp the truly standout dishes.
Disgusting food, I ordered chicken soup and Kung pao chicken for to go, chicken was raw in soup and instead of kung pao chicken they gave me a shrimp!
Good eggplant dish.
Nice small comfortable restaurant with a large menu with lots of choices.Friendly helpful personnel.
we ordered a couple wonton and roast duck noodle bowl. Their roast duck is excellent and on two side plates. The duck was both juicy and tasty. It was so good, we brought a whole duck to bring home to eat later. Worth a special trip just to buy the duck
