The Sushi bar is very close to the SFO airport. We told them that our friend needs to catch the flight, so they serve very quickly. I like their raw fish sushi, which is very fresh and tasty.

Small, clean, helpful staff. Tea was good. Ordered sashami and other dishes.Restroom could use some updates. A bit too small to navigate the tables.

Me and my friend both got the Sashimi Regular. It was NOT good. The fish had a fishy taste, like the smell of a 99 Ranch seafood section. Our stomachs both felt sick afterwards. Would not recommend. We also got the fried soft shell crab, which was decent, but the sashimi ruined the experience for us.

Had pretty good sashimi there today!Madai, kanpachi, fatty tuna, among others. It might be my unpopular opinion, but I feel like I would enjoy it more if pieces of fish were cut smaller. I would personally enjoy them more. Good things come in small quantities, right? Also had the scallop sashimi. To be honest, I've had better. This one had some fishy taste to it. Other than that, good spot, good prices for what you get.

Very busy, very popular place. Quite a long time to wait for a table. But worth it, Very good presentation and food. I'll definitely go again.

Some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend.

Generous portions exceeded my expectations. The sushi was very good.

A small unassuming sushi restaurant in an up and coming neighborhood. The aesthetic is classic hole-in-the-wall. The bar area is used for staging takeout orders. Tables are tightly squeezed together. That being said, the kitchen works incredibly hard to efficiently pump out some of the best sushi in San Francisco. Portions are luxurious, fairly priced, and very fresh (the key to success for any sushi restaurant). On the evening we had dinner, there were three servers on the floor. Service is fast, timely, and polite. It was such a pleasure to have a wonderful dining experience in such an unexpected place.I imagine that many Bay Area residents gravitate to trendier areas for dinner out. This means that a little gem like Amami San is a well-kept secret for local residents. We were told about this place when buying some spirits at Bitters & Bottles (which is another gem around the corner). Word of mouth is the best advertising.

Good but nothing too memorable. The food was good, and I got my fair share of unagi, but I've had better meals elsewhere. It wasn't stale but didn't feel too fresh either. The portions weren't small, but the salad could have been bigger. The decor and view on the outside is not very welcoming, and while the inside is better, it's not anything I haven't seen before.

Great deals on delicious sushi. Service is fantastic. The lunch specials are a super deal. Definitely one of the best omakases value wise.
