Long waiting time: one hour and a half and then SHOUTING at us when communicating??? Then refuse to apologize??? Guess what??? Finally, the police come and STILL no apology!!!!!!!!Don't take me wrong: the waitress is nice and kind but the chef is the one who should pay for it.
I am a chirashi fan and not many sushi places offer this simple serving style so I seek it out on menus. It is why I chose this restaurant for a "take out".I was happy and full. Good job! It is now in my travel notes for when I pass this way again.
Don’t go…the food was subpar and is not a true hibachi restaurant. My friend asked for a spoon for his soup because he’d only been brought a fork. The waitress walked up to the table and said, “Wait, what is this?” And physically reached into his soup and pulled his fork out of the bowl before giving him a spoon. The food was all-around dry and not tasty. Admittedly we did have an 18-person party, but we had made a reservation 3 days in advance to give them time to bring in proper staffing. They did not. 2 of our party did not receive food. We had to tell the waitress and they brought out the 2 missing plates after everyone had already eaten. Overall, 0/18 of us had a positive experience. We did not ask for custom orders of any kind, we ordered straight off the menu and things were still wrong and missing. We did have 1 server that was friendly, but at the end of the day it was not worth even half of what we paid. It also claims to be a hibachi restaurant, but they did not have fried rice, which was a surprise. Just don’t do it.
It took over an hour to get our first bit of food, after all of that time, two people with us never got food. It took over 1 1/2 hours for them to eat. The waitress spilt water and a whole cup of soy sauce on us. Then to top it all off I asked for a spoon because they didn’t bring me one for my soup, when she brought it she reached across me and picked up my fork out of my bowl of soup to see if I was lying about needing a spoon! By far the worst service I have ever had. Also they told us the chef had a mentalbreakdown multiple times that night.
We went here with my parents once. My parents go often. This place has some of the most delicious baked collar you're ever going to have. I know it sounds weird, but I promise you, it is amazing. The owner is super nice and we've had some wonderful conversations with him while we're all enjoying the food. Great place to take your family. Highly recommend you give this place a try!!
Fantastic sushi! The Y2K roll was divine. Would highly recommend this place. Our server Mads was awesome! 10/10.
Place is an abdolute junk show. Use to be good, must be under new management. The sushi is okay, anything else on the menu is terrible. The service is the worst I’ve ever had. Plenty of places to get sushi in SLT. I’d go to Safeway for sushi before I step foot in here again.
AMAZING sushi, great prices, friendly service, great atmosphere. Voted best sushi 2 years in row for very good reason. A must visit while in South Lake Tahoe!
This place is one of my favorites! Fair rates, large dishes and the staff are regularly welcoming.
