Need to make their mind up regarding ID. Went in for a couple of beers the day before without been asked for ID. Went in the next evening and was stopped and asked for ID, not an issue… or so I thought. Turns out this gentleman didn’t fancy accepting a UK drivers license which is fair enough as it’s not accepted by Cali Law however you either ask for it all the time or turn a blind eye when it’s a semantic rule. I’m 30 by the way so it’s all a bit daft.
We were staying the night in Tahoe, and our hotel was near by McP’s. The service was amazing - but the food…not so good :( things were cold and just didn’t have a good combination. I wouldn’t go again but the bar scene inside looked fun, so maybe I would try that next. We got nachos and right away it was super soggy. But the atmosphere of the place was great, in the heart of everything and a fun place maybe to grab a drink.
Amazing experience with a larger group of 10. Cold beer hot burger and pretzel with some delicious cheese sauce hit the spot, even with the weather not cooperating for the day. Our server was great attentive quick and pleasant. We were sat down instantly which is always nice. We will be back.
we ate outside because the noise from patrons watching the NBA playoffs inside were so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think, much less have a conversation. Outside was lovely, with patio heaters available. I ordered the wedge salad with onion rings. My partner had fish and chips (we asked for sweet potato fries to substitute and they were delicious). I thought the fish was a little over cooked, but she was very happy with her meal. The onion rings could have had less batter, but they were large enough to recognize them as onion. That was good.
In walking distance to our place at the Marriott, this restaurant had delicious food, great atmosphere and live music. Infused pear salad was really tasty!
We stumbled upon Mc P's while walking around. They got us in fairly quickly. After ordering it took a while but we noticed that everyone there was hustling! We agreed we would rather sip on our drinks and enjoy each other's company while waiting for our food than be standing in line outside waiting to be seated. Our waitresses' name is Shelby. She, like everyone there, moved at a fast pace. They move like a well-oiled machine. Impressive! When our food was delivered, the server didn't seem to stop. In one fluid motion, he set my plate down, did a kind of U-turn as he set my husband's plate down and off he went! It was all fabulous. Caprese avocado toast and fish and chips. The fries were seasoned really well, too. So the food, service, ambiance, almost everything, was excellent. The only negative in the whole place is the REALLY DIRTY BEAR. IF YOU'RE GOING TO SPORT A (real) BEAR, CLEAN THE BEAR.
The food smelled good as we were walking by so my wife and I decided to try it. It did not disappoint us. The service was great and the food was even better! My wife had the barbecue sandwich and I had the "Irish Burger". Both were delicious ?. We shared a slice of Maple Sweet Potato Cheesecake and WOW what a slice of "pie"! If you like Cheesecake, trust me, you have to try it.
Food was good. Service was spotty. We were seated immediately. However, we were seated for 15 minutes with no acknowledgment. I had to go to the hostess to let her know we hadn't seen our server. There were others that were seated after us that were being served before we got a menu. A server finally showed up and apologized. She was nice and thoughtful.
We stopped for lunch yesterday and left quite full and happy. The service was very good. I had one of the best Ruben sandwiches ever having had them over 200 times all across the country over the last 3 years. My wife had excellent fish and chips. Both plates came with more than enough fries. The down side is that there is basically NO parking around and this is a problem with the entire town not just this establishment. We are here for a week and probably we will be back again. BObK
It was a gorgeous sunshiny day. We sat at an outdoor table and ordered a shared meal (fish and chips, and an order of fried onion rings). They were both not only excellent (as good as we've eaten in the UK) but more than enough - we couldn't finish them! Great afternoon!
