If you want real and authentic Mexican food- this is the spot. I've stopped by the past 2 years while vacationing in Tahoe. Great service. Great Food and excellent service. I love that its a family owned business, so it feels like home. We've tried different dishes on both visits, from the Nachos to tacos to chile relleno to my favorite- mole enchiladas! We have made this our go to every time we are in town. See you guys next month!
Good ingredients. Great cooking. Big portions. Vegan menu. I couldn't ask for more.
Comfortable seating inside and out, nice staff and really top notch food The fish tacos were sublime, a solid 9 . The surf and turf burrito was another solid 9. Tasty salsa . we'll be going back.
Fellow vegans! You know how it is in Tahoe, there are just not many options here. I am not sure how I missed Maria's. I was so impressed with the vegan nachos and Sopas I had to write a review. Authentic and full of flavor. I got it to go and loved every bite
Food was amazing. Service was not unfortunately :( The young gentleman helping us did not know the menu so when I ordered he said they didn’t have it even when it was on the menu. He then proceeded to say he was going to ask the manager if they did have it and they did not. My mom was visiting me from the Bay Area and we wanted to have a drink but when I ordered a Midori Sour it came back with the whole bottom being filled with salt and it was made with tequila. BUT, just because the food is SO GOOD I will be giving them another shot!
Try the vegan sopes ... flavorful and not to spicy. I'm so glad we stopped by to try there vegan food. I am going to stop here everytime I come to Lake Tahoe! ? Thank you Maria's for the great customer service as well !
Passing through and found this gem! Vegan options are intentional and not a random side option! So good!
Tried the famous shrimp tacos. They were fine. Nothing I would return for. The people were busy but nice and service was better than average pandemic service.Chips were fine as was the salsa. I would not object to going back but would not lobby for it either.
Stopped here on our way through Tahoe, so glad I did! Incredible food, good service with a smile and great portions! Not your typical over cheesed usual Mexican food you come across! Simple and delicious! Green sauce was probably the best I’ve ever had and there table side chips and salsa were fantastic! Do yourself a favor and stop! Vegan options as well
Absolutely amazing! Some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Had a couple things from the vegan and regular menu. No complaints on any of it. I would highly recommend eating here.
