They charged us 15.00 for a plain margarita and 15.00 for a alacart chilli Reno common man what a rip off we are locals but not anymore here .

The food was excellent. Service was good. Server was friendly and interacted. MARGARITAS were really good with the use of fresh lime juice. Prices were good..We are from Texas so we know our Mexican food and this was great

3 words...Chile Rellano Casserole! De-lic-ious! Everything we got here was so good, but that casserole was amazing. The service was awesome, Amber was our waitress and she was on it, attentive but not hovering over our table and very friendly. She double checked with the kitchen for ingredients that I may have been allergic to without making me feel like it was chore. Also their mango cheesecake was magic. Everyone in this place seemed to really be friendly and enjoying themselves, staff and the patrons. Also, clean restrooms. Pricing was right too. Highly recommend this place for food and service.

Excellent authentic cheese enchiladas with amazing refried beans! Well worth a visit or two by you! Relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. Wait staff very attentive and the bartender and chef are great fun! We ate at the high tables in the bar. The chef would make guest appearances. Very fun place for lunch. We'll definitely come check out the dinner atmosphere. We'll be back!

Food was perfect. I love Mexican food, so I am very hesitant in what to order when I am not at “my places”. Guacamole was good, the salsa so outstanding with chunks of tomatoes. I ordered the chimichanga asked if can do carne asada it was hands down on of the best. My mom ordered the enchiladas with shredded beef, I am normally not a big fan of shredded beef very tasty. Staff were friendly and right on too of the water and chips being low. Perfect lunch.

Visited Lake Tahoe for a week with my family. We’re Latino so we needed our Authentic Mexican food fix. Ordered the birria meal. The food was in fact pretty authentic Mexican tasting. Nice and greasy in a good was as expected with Mexican food containing red meats. Portions were a good size. Service was excellent as well.

We only had guac and chips with a couple of drinks which were great. All the food we saw looked spectacular and smelled even better. It is a bit away from South Lake Tahoe, so we were some of the few non-locals, but were welcomed all the same. Prices are reasonable and there's lots of parking. It is family owned, which is always a plus for us.

Margaritas seems like yet another solid local spot on 89. A bit out of the crowded South Lake Tahoe area — just how we like it. We’re visiting South Lake in a shoulder season so we walked right in at 1pm on a Saturday and we’re seated immediately. The place itself is nothing to write home about, it’s clean enough and has a bit of a ‘Tahoe’ vibe, but almost nothing about it would indicate that it’s a Mexican restaurant. The bartender was friendly and attentive, bringing chips and salsa right when we were seated. She promptly got our drinks and orders. Service was great. My group and I ordered a couple of combination plates and a steak quesadilla. I thought the shredded beef was pretty good but got mediocre reviews for the chicken and steak fillings. This was our second time here so it’s definitely worth a trip, and solid food and atmosphere to return. It did seem like multiple people in there at the time of our visited had come often. Overall, the experience is good and solid food. Nothing to write home about and nothing to complain about!

Hats off to the chefs all the food was fantastic. The shrimp cocktail was seasoned just right and the Asada meat in my tacos was really good meat. My son enjoyed the quesadilla. The service was amazing too. Highly recommended this restaurant. Must try their house margaritas.

Being Mexican American I strongly do dont recommend this restaurant to any Hispanic. The food cooked in this restaurant isn't authentic Mexican food they try to pass it as authentic. The moment I walked in" there were no Hispanic present something wrong when there aren't any Mexican in a Mexican restaurant. Chef Ramsay please help these people.
