Food was not great. Place needs work. No liquor license. And they were swamped with business . Can’t believe that. Skip this place!
A delivery of shrimp burritos was a surprise at work the other night. First bite we said "there's no words for how good this is"... but we found them - huge shrimp, fantastic sauce, bigger than our hands we fought our way through it!! Yummmm! New favorite but can't leave the Pastor too far behind :) Always and we repeat Always count on Jalisco's Grill!!
Not serious about taking any order from the moment we sat down.. gave us chips but no water and didn’t take our order or acknowledge us . Baffling..
Hole in the wall local place which we usually enjoy, but our lunch was mediocre food with slow service. Very nice staff but combination plate was bland including a taco that was just a tortilla and meat, nothing else, plus an enchilada and tamale that were OK but came out luke warm. The restaurant was about half full and everyone else looked like locals so maybe we’re just missing something but we won’t go back.

We’re on a quest to find the best Mexican Food in South Lake. Jalisco Grill was our starting point. We each ordered burrito (asada super and chile verde regular). What was supposed to be a 10 minute wait was more like 25 (so plan accordingly). The asada was lacking in flavor, but the quantity of meat in the burrito was generous. The chile verde was also very generous in quantity, but the flavor was more tart and tomatillo based and lacked any hints of chile in content and flavor. I was also disappointed that the regular burrito was just beans and meat. No cheese? Not even lettuce? Overall, the food and service were average. May our quest continue!

La comida esta deliciosa, la dan muy bien servida. Las personas que atienden son muy amables y dan buen servicio.
This place is a hidden jem at South Lake Tahoe. It offers authentic Mexican food, friendly service and a patio where you can social distance and enjoy your food. The burritos are huge and very cheap, and come with chips and salsa. Credit card is accepted on orders over $10. Go, you won't regret it! Off the beaten track but yummy and worth the drive. This is where the locals eat.
Apparently years a Jalisco family opened a Mexican restaurant at Tahoe and did very well, Not sure how long they were in business like that but there was I understand a dispute within the family and they split. Each group started their own Jalisco restaurant - one called the grill and the other a tacoria . This one is located at 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd and the other one on Talic. Our Garmin took us to 2660 and all that was there was a 7-ll. My husband said he was sure he saw a sign by the side of the road that said Jalisco's with an arrow. So we drove back. It turned out to be quite a ways back. It was the one on Talic. It sat behind another building and had a parking lot and trash bids near by. I went in and asked if we were at the right place and she said no, that one was further down the street and back off the road. So we went once more to try to find it. We noticed the address numbers didn't match where our Garman had taken us. We drove up and down the street several times. Finally I spotted a small vertical sign on the side on a building that said Jalisco's. There was literally an alley with single level strip shops on either side. We drove to the end of the alley and saw what we think may have been the right place, There was not signage, but there were two people out side putting up tables and everything else. We had spent over 45 minutes trying to find it and they closed at 8 and it was 7:45 so we were out of luck. The only place we could find open was Five Guys. A big disappointment.
