Okay we tried a lot of food here.. some was just plain Everyday Food.. nothing authentic about it.. I will say the best thing was the potatoes and schnitzel platter.. the pretzel is okay.. but for two children to adults $120.00 no drinks no alcohol.. a bit too pricey for what you get... parking lot is very small get there a bit early before your reservation time to get a spot..
Great bierstube with German and Belgium beers and Bavarian food!
One of my friend made a reservation but it was pretty close to open time but can see why it'd quickly get busy. Amazing selection of beers, yummy foods, and dessert. Super knowledgeable and friendly staffs with a nice ambiance. Outdoor is nice, too, if the weather is working in your favors! Schnitzels, pretzel, wieners, and really everything single thing I've tried there was exceptional!
Our extended family of 9 had a great night out at Himmel Haus. My grandparents immigrated to the US from Germany, and I lived with my parents in Germany as a child, however it's been over 20 years now. My parents and I all thought the food, the atmosphere, and the beer selection was a wonderful experience and brought back good memories. Some other reviews have criticized the food as not being as authentic German as they hoped, but it's difficult to find German restaurants anywhere in the US, and the Himmel Haus is as good as we've found anywhere.
This place was delicious. Never tried German food but I’m glad I tried this spot.It was a group event that was served family style. The food was from a prepared menu. Tried the Haus salad which was organic greens tossed with a Haus vinaigrette. Almonds, golden raisins, apples, and blue cheese. Sausage platter, 4 sausages, schnitzel, spatzle, and pretzel balls. Everything was amazing!Definitely recommend trying this place if you're in the area.
This place is beyond awesome. Great atmosphere and service (amazing, actually), great beer selection and the German food is some of the best I’ve ever had. I’d come back here night after night! We had the pretzel which was probably the best I’ve had, Spatzel, Schnitzel and this “Mac and cheese” spatzel which was phenomenal. The cauliflower wasn’t great but who cares everything else was amazing!
Lovely, genuine German cuisine.
Awesome place! If you like German food, this is the place
Our family of four ate here while skiing at Heavenly. Having lived in Germany, we were looking forward to some reasonably authentic German/Bavarian fare. The authenticity was questionable but the meals were tasty and German beer selection was fun. The atmosphere was lacking - a bit run down amplified by the fact that they seated us in the bar area on a worn bench next to a fusball table which got pretty loud. And it's expensive. Make sure you reserve early - we could only get a table after 8:30 when reserving a few days before.
Try the pretzel with the great mustards. The employees are always happy to serve you with the best of the best. Great Beir list that gives a a variety of choices of light to heavy, Ask the Bartender for there favorite. Call for your reservations and have an expierence with your taste buds.
