I had a cold brew with light ice. It was perfectly strong without being bitter. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. It's a bright, well lit place inside of red hut with a few places to sit.
After traveling most of the country from east coast to west I can say that I have sampled some of the finest cups of Chai. This unfortunately wasn't one of them. The Chai was ok at best but I wouldn't rush out to spend $5 to $6 on it again. Some places I would. Like Bean & Brew in Tonopah, or The Foundation Coffee House in Tampa, FL. My recommendation to the owner is to get out and sample some of the world's Chai then hone your recipe. Your heart is in the right place, but the recipe isn't quite there yet. It may pass the test of many who haven't had better, but for seasons drinkers it's okay at best. Good Luck.
Yummmm! This chai coffee shop was recommended by a friend and it lived up to the hype. I got the Dirty and it was spectacular. I also like how you can bring your own cup in and they’ll put your drink in it. Loved the plants strewn across the shop.
Excellent chai with different flavors and choices. We got the Roots and Dirty both with oat milk. We're not from Tahoe but will be saving this in our maps for recommendations to others.Side note, the owner is nice, helpful and talkative.
Great coffee and their green smoothie is delicious. First green smoothie I’ve ever actually liked.
Rarely leave reviews on coffee shops because of how many I go to but I think this shop is missing the mark on a couple points.1) drink to drink consistency is very poor - we had two og chai that tasted quite different. If the baristas are not using a scale to measure the amount of syrup/chai mix they use, they need to change that.2) the two drip coffee urns they carry are substandard. One was a third wave style acidic/fruity coffee that was okay, the “dark” coffee as they described it was on par with hotel room coffee and should not be served at any coffee shop3) decor was great, neat decorations and such.4) cashier/customer service was there to collect a paycheck, no friendliness or “coffee shop” vibe here. Maybe that’s Tahoe…5) this part is subjective - House chai recipes are always very hit or miss for me. This one, IMO was a miss. I felt like this chai was way too cinnamon and clove forward. I missed the cardamom/pepper/black tea components in this. Very one dimensional. People that like big cinnamon flavors will probably love this.6) the flavored latte (maple cinnamon) I had was overwhelmingly sweet half way through. The espresso component was there and not bad, but the over-use of syrup, and worse, that it was not mixed/incorporated into the milk evenly is another problem. First couple sips were decent but had to toss it out halfway through.Highly recommend more attention to detail by this shop - I’m guessing adding a scale at all portions of there process will improve this across the board ( consistency in drinks, quality of the drip coffee…)
Great atmosphere and amazing chai. I also loved the plant decor.
Very friendly and chill place, THE best place for all kinds of chai. Coffee is excellent too!
Great chai, friendly staff. Will probably go again while in Tahoe.
Loved this spot. Large selection of teas! The evergreen ice chai was very good!
