I don’t give a lot of reviews and only when I really like a restaurant—and after finding this lovely restaurant on Google and getting lucky to get a reservation…they earned it. We had the Swordfish and the Filet Mignon a la Florentine. The wine selection is amazing. We broke our sugar-free nutrition plan for the hand-churned homemade ice cream. It was definitely worth every spoon. It was also served with complementary espresso. The setting is kind and lovely. And the service is impeccable. Our server, Spencer, is new there but he was knowledgeable about wine and the menu. He was professional, pleasant and friendly. The chef Gilberto came out to say hi to friends and we got to meet him and thank him for our delicious meal. The art garden behind the restaurant is lovely and the artist is the chef. Needless to say, we highly recommend Cafe Fiore.

Very very good food, and fantastic service as well. Every dish we got tasted wonderful. Fine dining, but definitely worth it. Will be back again if I'm in Tahoe. Make sure to call ahead to make a reservation, it's a small restaurant.

Cafe Fiore is a hidden gem in Lake Tahoe. The staff is friendly and the wine and food are great. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Cafe Fiore is definitely the best place to eat in Lake Tahoe. The restaurant is small, but it's always in demand because it's so popular. Cafe Fiore serves Italian food, and the pasta is cooked perfectly. The sauce is flavorful and the vegetables are fresh. The bread is also delicious. Cafe Fiore also has a great wine list. The wines are reasonably priced and the selection is good. Cafe Fiore is the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. It's definitely worth checking out if you're ever in Lake Tahoe!

Such a lovely dining experience!

My wife and I just dined here, probably the best Italian we have ever had in the States. Everything about this place was simply amazing. Thanks for a great night!

Service was good although I definitely noticed the waiters seemed to be more attentive to white customers. We ordered the cioppino and a veggie pasta dish. The cioppino broth was excellent but for the price ($50) there was only one tiger shrimp and the rest were small shrimps, which was not what I expected. There weren’t clams, only mussels, which was disappointing. The lobster was way over done and chewy. The veggie pasta tasted like olive oil very oily and tasteless. They had whole olives in the dish, and halved olives would be better although they didn’t belong in the dish in my opinion. It was a VERY disappointing dish. The poached pear dessert was underdone and the syrup was too sweet. The sliced almonds should have been slivered because they were too overpowering. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes but it wasn’t the terrific dinner we’d expected.

Loved it! Make sure to book early and follow all the instructions on confirming your reservation. Once you realize there's only 5 tables total, it's completely understandable why they need to double confirm every reservation.Get the white chocolate ice cream. Heck, get it twice!

Wonderful staff, intimate setting, lots of attention to detail, homey feel, delicate flavors!!! Just the best way to celebrate a birthday. Thank you Nick and staff. We will be sure to return when we return to South Lake Tahoe!

Good food, good service. Small family business. Won't be disappointed, felt like a small Italian family business. Will be back! The white chocolate ice cream is home made so save room for that!

I am extremely disappointed! I made a reservation online and they claimed that they sent an email back. When we arrived there, they said that what they have online is not a real reservation (really? So why do they bother having that?). So now what was supposed to be a romantic trip because a disappointing experience. They couldn’t care less about trying to make it up. Horrible customer experience!
