I love getting out of the concrete jungle and finding these vintage type eateries. The food is great and the portions are huge. We had an amazing server ( young girl long brown hair ) and I noticed that the entire staff was just as pleasant as she was. Her approach and smile actually made our morning! Thank you all and hope to see you again soon.
great breakfast place! the mexican omelette was really really good! i sat at the counter and it was awesome to see how fast the cooks were, and you constantly were chatting and having great conversations with the staff. i would recommend this place to everyone that wants a hearty tahoe breakfast. just fyi they don’t have a ton of tables so when it’s busy the can be long, but it will be worth it!
Food was DELICIOUS and the portion sizes are damn good. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time. Coffee was great, the pancakes are perfect, the omelette is amazing.Theres a reason why the lines are long and the cafe was packed with customers. 10/10 would recommend this perfect breakfast spot!!!!
I found about this place from a blog. I visited Saturday morning for a brunch after returning from Emerald Bay. We had to wait 20 mins. This place has great variety of breakfast options.We tried California omelet which was full of veggies. The hash browns were perfect. The chicken torta was tasty and had soft chicken.The hot chocolate was super nice, not too sweet. I didn't like the blueberry crepes that much but my friends enjoyed it..! Service was good, they even replaced the potato salad with fries when we said we didn't like it.
Had lunch at Bert's , overall food was good, restaurant is small inside not alot of tables and room , parking lot is small share space with a Mobil gas station , overall decent lunch
This diner is an amazing breakfast spot when visiting South Lake Tahoe and once you try it you will want to go back for more. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food... AMAZING! As the manager said while asking for the insider tips on the local food scene, Bert's has the family recipes that have been passed down. And honestly they are amazing. The pancakes are so delicious. And if you are up for the challenge order the Coyboy! It's huge but every bite is spectacular. Frank's sausage is home made and a must have! And on a cold morning, the hot cocoa that comes in the special Bert's mug with cool whip and sprinkles is such a treat! Honestly, you can not go wrong with anything that you order!
The food is amazing and staff super friendly. The owner works hard on customer service and leads by example. Don’t expect high end atmosphere and vibe cause that is not the case.
