The Vibe is Tijuana summer nights.The theme is violence.This dive bar makes most dive bar look like a 5 star establishment. Auggies reminds me of post hurricane Katrina. Just musty looking establishments with debris everywhere.
Visited Recently and three years later, things have actually went futher downhill. They do not have the pool table anymore. Management should maybe not allow two pregnant bartenders work the same shift. Especially when theres so many customers waiting for beer. I dont think its fair to allow employees to bring in outside food and with their friends in the regular tables. Most disturbing is they welcome a biker gang to display their patches and affiliation to their club. Just like street gangs. Will not ever return. Becareful if you decide to come to Auggies. Stay safe.
I love Auggies. Cold beer and great prices. Not to mention the food is delicious, especially the Carne asada fries. If ever in South Gate, definitely a place to go.
Good little sports bar, have nice waitresses and also have a small mariscos food available inside. Good place to go and have a drink, and a bite to while watching your favorite sport. Sometimes has live music, also has a modern jukebox and download the app to play whatever is available, and yes there is Security there. Love the attention. That was my only comment as i did get all the attention from the waitresses. That was 11 months ago. A whole year I'm back at the same spot checking if still same atmosphere as before.Now there is a live dj playing all your old times favorites. From corridos to rock en Español. To hip hop. The crowd still seems to keep divided an even though we are on an enclosed place we try to keep with our own. Bar indoors now.
Very chill spot to hang out.. good beers, friendly waitresses and good food! DJ on Friday's and lots of TV's to watch any game you want.
