Such a gem of a place, you would never know based on the humble exterior. The back patio is such a #mood, great wine list and the food is scrumptious. #chefskiss. The staff are all so friendly and attentive. And did I mention the food is spectacular? :P (Had the poached eggs with beans and tostada)
Unique, welcoming and laid back place to get a spectacular and healthy brunch - one of the best, in an area that already spoils us with good food options. As locals, we keep coming back for the evolving menu and great atmosphere - can’t go wrong with Valley!
It was a rather disappointing experience. On service, my rating is a 2. Starting with a wait of 30 minutes past our reservation. The service at the table was mediocre, with long waits for the dishes, outside of the appetizers that came fairly quickly. The food was average with a rating of 2. A lot of the dishes were overly sour. The overall ambiance of the place is more similar to a bar than a restaurant. I found that their system requiring ordering at a separate table to be rather strange. Is it because they not have enough staff? All in all, it was a rather disappointing experience.
Excellent coffee, delicious tortilla Espaniole, and almond croissant with a chunky almond paste throughout the croissant, key for a high rating. The staff was friendly and the outdoor tables allowed us to enjoy the crisp morning and warm sun. The interior is quite nice and evocative of a French county home.
Adorable place!Ambient:Relaxed, ampious, welcoming, non-pretentious.Food:I can always tell if I am going like a restaurant from their bread and their coffee. This place scores high on both.I truly loved the fried artichokes - delicious!Wine:They have an ample selection to choose from. Ask for advice, staff is knowledgeable.I would totally recommend stopping here if you happen to be in the area.
One of the best brunches I've had in a long time! Such a cute atmosphere, very friendly staff, the whole thing felt very welcoming even on one of the coldest days in sonoma. Ordered the fried eggs dish, the valley breakfast, the tortilla espanola and the olive oil cake and all were to die for.
Good but far from great. Appetizers were a good start, except for the not-free bread, which was cold, hard, with cold butter. If you charge for bread, make an effort... Mains were very original but uneven. The fish was amazing but the braised beef was tough and tasteless. Dessert was good to fiinish, but nothing special. Service was very friendly but it's awkward to have to get up to order in that kind of restaurant. Feels like it's more like a wine bar that happens to have decent food...
The food was absolutely wonderful! As a group of four we ordered 10 different sharable orders, as well as all the deserts offered and every one was delicious. The crispy rice, squash and lettuces were amazing! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the wines for one of our group that wanted to expand their options.
Wonderful place for a nice dine in
The Valley menu is quirky, fun and unique! DO NOT MISS THE EGGS! They were so good we ordered a second round. The crispy rice was also amazing. Great small plates in a good location right in the heart of the square--would highly recommend.
