Good: Lively local crowd doing 1930’s dances in response to the live band.Bad: Having the “chef” choose to replace part of your food order without asking — or even telling you — because they were out of the ingredients for part of the order. “Uh, wasn’t this supposed to include zucchini? It’s described on the menu…” “Oh, we were out of that, so we just gave you something else instead.” “Uh…instead of zucchini, you gave me deep-fried mini hotdogs?” “Yeah…is there a problem?”
Very good food in a very fun place. They have live music most nights, the place is huge so you can sit with the music or get away form it, love that. Full bar that has been there for over 100 years. This place is a local gem and not on the touristy plaza.
Saturday brunch...nice change from the downtown Sonoma Plaza scene...R&B mi0ght have been a dance hall at one point...spacious walled veranda with plenty of shade...dogs welcome...speedy staff...did I mention they have Pliny the Elder on tap...Korean ribs were excellent...spicy margs not too spicy...must come back for the live music.
Excellent local establishment, great foods and spirits, and live music. Several different large areas to sit, even a gorgeous outside patio. A must visit!

This is a hidden gem with live music on many evenings. (I know there are comedy shows too, but haven't been to one). Love eating outside at the picnic table under the oak trees. Their peach cosmo and fish/chips are fantastic!
We had our 50th anniversary celebration last Sunday and I couldn't say enough about how perfect it was. Emily helped with ALL details and was very patient in dealing with all of my questions and concerns. The weather allowed us to have an ice sculpture and a photo table on the outside deck, where the cocktail hour was also held. The stage, dancefloor and tables/booths inside for 80 people, were ideal. I absolutely would come back to the Reel for hosting another celebration.
